Thank you! Those two sequences combine so well that it would be a crime not to have put them together.

This is one of the best MAD sakuga I've ever seen; everything is impressive and full of emotion but at the same time the central thing is still the incredible capacity of Yoshinari Great work!

Your channel is the best for showcasing the artistry that is anime. Your videos also helped me through my lowest times not thinking of reality, thank you for that

I'm glad to know that, usually I post videos without knowing if people will like them, but this video is the one I'm most proud of. I plan to continue publishing videos of animators and sequences that I think should be seen by many people, after all animation is an art that allows people to express themselves in many very particular ways and analyzing it seems interesting to me

@@AnotherSakuga Much love youtuber, I really respect that you do not watermark the stuff you upload because my OCD really starts to kick in. And besides.... watermarking content that does not belong to you in the first place is just wrong. But you are the one that put the video together so I'm always happy for that. Here is to hoping for more content for you to upload 🥂

I find it almost impossible to highlight a particular sequence made by You Yoshinari. His cuts in FLCL #05 are impressive, the movement he represents is very smooth and yet angular, the background animation, the effects and the rotation together with the character animation end up giving an incredible sequence. There are also the estrangement sequences of Gurren Lagann and Parallel Works #08, where he demonstrates an incredible level of manipulation of giant mechanical elements without losing any dynamism. I would really go too far talking about his sequences from Re: Cutie Honey, Gurren Lagann Movie 1 and The End of Evangelion. Much increased quality, corrected frame rate and some small cuts added If you want to see the previous version, you can see it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j2bdqJd_r86NobM

All the names of the series are in the description, I have also added the option of subtitles in English and Japanese with the names of all the series. You can go back or forward frame by frame Frame Advance: Press the " . " Key / Rewind frame: Press the " , " key Remember, animation is not made to pause as animation is made up of the entire sequence of drawings that create the illusion of movement, so there is no point in evaluating the "quality" of animation based on an individual drawing. Even so, I highlight the option to move forward and back frame because it is always interesting to see the animator's work in each particular drawing, in addition to helping a lot to understand how his work works.

I guess his part was the berserk 13th EVA after Asuka and new 2th EVA absorbed by 13th EVA, looks like I am wrong :p The 3.0+1.0 cut in this MAD... it's not the best of his work? Still appreciate the MAD XD.

In my opinion, the Rebuild wasted You a lot. Tsurumaki and Imaishi have a reputation for bringing out the full potential of the animator, but in Trhice Upon a Time the cuts that Tsurumaki assigned to You are very simple, unlike the cuts that Tsurumaki assigned to him in the original series and The End of Eva. Not to mention that the reused cuts from the original series made by You were... Well, you know the result of redrawing them and putting a lot of CGI in them. I have high expectations of Cyberpunk Edgerunners since You are a character designer and it is impossible that Imaishi does not assign him some important cuts

@@AnotherSakuga I am quite disappointed about the star wars vision short by Imaishi, considering Sushio was the animation director. Studio Trigger's recent works are not that "sakuga focus"(this trend starts after the LWA TV in my opinion). But hopefully 2077 edge runner can prove me wrong, and can't wait to see Imashi's gun fight and Yoshinari's long movement cuts. I think the first few works of studio Trigger benefits from the ex-Gainax staff (Tv series of Im@s also fits this description) but these staff become main staff in other projects as time goes by, so no wonder the quality drops in recent Trigger's animation. (Pretty sure Nishinori's next original series won't be as good as DITF for the same reason)

@@pyli535 I felt the same, I delayed for months my Swordplay video and those of Imaishi, Sushio and Yoshinari because I really had a lot of expectations about the Imaishi episode in Star Wars Visions. Imaishi is taking a rather strange approach to the one he had when he was the greatest exponent of the Neo Kanada school, it feels a bit strange his 3D integration so great and at the same time I can only think that it is a waste for someone as expressive as him and the style Kanada Cyberpunk Edgerunners is Trigger's tenth anniversary project, so it must be something very important and I have high expectations

@@AnotherSakuga I think the 3D animation in PROMARE does get the spirit of the aesthetic of Kanada school (not as radical as Imashi's ), it's still a shame these great animators turns their focus to director (especially when there are less resources like recent Trigger's TV series)
@AnotherSakuga3 жыл бұрын
@@pyli535 Yes, I think my biggest problem with the latest anime directed by Imaishi is that the designs are made by Shigeto Koyama. Sushio, Nishigori and Hiramatsu make simple but very attractive designs that go well with the Kanada aesthetic, but Koyama's designs look extremely stiff. The visual effects of Promare were indeed very interesting, like the Kanada Light Flare made only with geometric figures, but Imaishi has a slightly disastrous direction, so when there are only 3D robots on screen and the camera rotates a lot, nothing is understood. Cyberpunk Edgerunners will have Kaneko's debut as a character designer, so it remains to be seen how they match the Kanada style and how much CGI will be implemented.
