Vintage Nakamura and modern era Nakamura are so different stylistically, while working at the highest caliber in both. His old stuff is so full of weight, with fantastic choreography and footwork, while his new stuff basically ignores that in favor of movement and speed. It's kind of weird to think that Yutaka Nakamura is a top tier realist animator. If you showed work from different parts of his career to someone unfamiliar with his work, they would absolutely believe that they were made by completely different animators.

Nakamura has gone through so many stages that depending on the time he is recognized for a certain type of animation, but as you mention, he's a great realistic animator that is compared to the skills of Toshiyuki Inoue (said by Inoue himself) Currently there are people who do not see Nakamura as a Character Acting Animator and it would be a shame if they did not see the incredible sequences that Nakamura did during a large part of his career

Nakamura's sequence in One Punch Man is still something incredible and the reason why he participated in that project was because Madhouse Animation Producer Yuuichirou Fukushi persuaded him, showing him the great effort of the staff in the production of the first few episodes. He participated using the pseudonym "Yatarou Takahashi" and surprised all the staff as no one knew who the responsible animator was, even Yoshimichi Kameda was angry that Nakamura stole all the attention in the final episode. Nakamura worked as an in-between on Mitsuo Iso's legendary scene from Gundam War in The Pocket #01 and joined Sunrise because he thought Iso worked at the studio. * You can notice that most of the clips are from a certain year ago and this is because personally I'm not a fan of Yutaka Nakamura in his post-Concrete Revolutio stage, since the well-done movement is often overshadowed by the spectacular effects that he implements. Even so, I added his sequence from Mob Psycho 100 #06 because it seems to me that he is starting a new stage in his style, one not so full of effects. * This is probably the most complicated video I've ever done, as working with the two very different acts of Welcome to The Black Parade was very difficult, but the song for this animator I defined since 2019. * I decided not to put most of the Sword of the Stranger sequence because it is too long and it would cover too much time, plus I imagine it is an extremely popular sequence that most have already appreciated, even so I strongly believe that this is the best of his works throughout his career, a perfect combination of well-done movement with interesting effects, as well as incredible choreography and very dynamic handling of shots. Toshiyuki Inoue recommends that sequence for all new animators and Nakamura himself even today says that this sequence is the work that represents him as an animator and it was the most important point of his career.

Ah yes. Before he was popular for flashy final moves and geometric debris, he was a mech guy. I love how much of that is included here. From mechs to futuristic aircraft dogfights, to fight choreographies hand to hand and with weapons, to super-powered ultimate moves, and even to dancing and character acting. I consider him one of the best not because he's amazing at just one aspect, but because he's done it all and proven he's great wherever you put him in.

And without a doubt he is one of the best mechanical animators, since he manages to handle super complex designs and use all the peculiarities that characterize his work. Nakamura is too flexible, he can apparently work with anything and be a great exponent of it.

I still remember to this day his participation in Cowboy Bebop The Movie as his best work. Excellent MAD! It's a bit tiring to see that most focus only on his current flashy works when Yutapon is one of the most experienced animators in the anime industry

I also consider his work in Cowboy Bebop The Movie as one of Nakamura's greatest references and it is very satisfying to watch

Thanks! I did my best to put some of his best works in which he represents everything that distinguishes him and trying to avoid certain post-Concrete Revolutio sequences

This is one of the best MADs you've ever done, the intensity of the music matches the clips perfectly, great job! You even added his cuts from episode 6 of the third season of Mob Psycho!

Thanks! His Mob Psycho III sequence has a proper balance between character animation and effects animation, so I didn't want to release the MAD without that work. I had to remove a couple of cuts from Medarot and Halo Legends, but I'm happy with the result

Thank you very much! I really like animation, so I usually analyze the style or sequences of different animators that I admire (of whom I process to make the MADs)

All the names of the series are in the description, I have also added the option of subtitles in English and Japanese with the names of all the series. You can go back or forward frame by frame Frame Advance: Press the " . " Key / Rewind frame: Press the " , " key Remember, animation is not made to pause as animation is made up of the entire sequence of drawings that create the illusion of movement, so there is no point in evaluating the "quality" of animation based on an individual drawing. Even so, I highlight the option to move forward and back frame because it is always interesting to see the animator's work in each particular drawing, in addition to helping a lot to understand how his work works.

Thank you! It took me a couple of days to collect all the available information, read most of the interviews I found and analyze the different elements that make up his animation. Unfortunately because the descriptions have a limit, I had to reduce it considerably

With Bones, he undoubtedly began to demonstrate that his creativity has no limits. I would like Bones to produce another 2D mecha anime so that Yutaka Nakamura can once again demonstrate why he is considered a mechanical animation genius

Ngl even though I appreciate all of Yutaka Nakamura's styles, I think it's quite refreshing seeing a MAD showing mostly his "older" works Personally not a fan of the song, but great stuff nonetheless👍

Thank you for your opinion! Since Nakamura is currently super popular internationally for his recent involvements in Bones projects, many people are under the impression that he is an animator who only specializes in spectacular effects animation, but seeing Nakamura's journey from his early days is one of the most interesting things
