Actually, Zur is still pretty good. The enchantment to get in this case would be Meticulous Excavation for turns combos.

There was one misplay in this game. during the mindbreak trap bonanza, there were 2 kitten triggers targeting the dockside. only one flicker would resolve since the second one would no longer have a valid target.

Since I noticed the new setup on editing and chitchatting during the game I thought i´d give my opinion as loyal watcher of your channel. I like the fact that ur chitchatting during the game and putting it in the videos. Although I think the animations are a bit too much (for me personally). I like it being smooth and fast and for me the animations just distract me from whats going on in the game. Happy u guys are trying new things and developing as always!

Nercro for the Zur search seemed super sketch with three Rhystics there. I would have went for the stax pieces to at least give my opponents an extra hoop to jump thru. Especially seeing the backups in hand played the same turn.

It's cool to look at this game and see Zur in action, I have my own zur deck and I actually think it would be able to stand up at a table like this. I didn't realize it was that powerful. I would have tutored up Rule of Law assuming I could put down some protection for Zur.

Zur swing, jam in Rule of Law against cEDH decks and laugh. I ran Zur, put Diplomatic Immunity on him, then proceeded to cast Armageddon and laugh. You don't need lands anymore, you play stuff for free. Then proceed to run tax/stax/land hate until win.

The triggers of the kiitens triggers first but resolves after paying the 1 isnt it? He always pays with the mana of the flicker dockside but he has to pay and then flicker dockside as he is casting spells.

A minor one but that mess of a stack couldve gone entirely different through one sequencing thing which would be not paying for the archaic on the fluster. Since the archaic trigger would resolve first and just make 1 flusterstorm, noone having mana open thr storm copies of the original fluster couldve easily targeted the rest. Altho i can say this easily as i have a nice spot outside with some visuals instead of having to all do this on the spot in my head 😅

Cal was flickering Eternal Witness with Kitten to get it and Lotus Petal back. He wasn't escaping it.

@@PlayingWithPowerMTG It's something I wish I would have explained better in the moment, once the loop was going I didn't need to escape anything anymore or flicker dockside anymore. Lotus Petal was making all the mana I needed for bolt, etc.

Yes, but to make more treasure ( as explained during the game) you need to flicker dockside instead of EWitness, which leaves bolt and petal in the yard, requiring escaping a spell to start the Petal/Bolt chain again. Totally possible I'm missing something obvious here, but I think GY size is relevant.

It is now in the graveyard. Step 4. Cast Lightning Bolt with the R from Lotus Petal. Kitten flickers EWit. EWit enters, returning Lotus Petal to hand. Lightning Bolt is now in the graveyard. Step 5. Cast Lotus Petal from hand. Kitten flickers Ewit, and Ewit returns lightning bolt to hand. Repeat this loop to kill the table.

Try running Zur more live Tivit and he plays better, play him fast and you're going to lose every game, go for Rule and you have a chance in most pods.

If you are planning to flicker Dockside over and over for loads of mana, wouldn't you wait to cast Rift until you already had a bunch of treasures - if/when Rift resolves you would get 0 treasures with your flickers.

Can someone please explain to me how he can infinitely cast lightning bolt considering underworld breach forces you to pay an escape cost of exiling 3 cards from grave for each card you play??? At most, taking into account cards drawn and played during the game, he at most probably 28 (doing 85 cards divided by 3) cards you could reasonably play before you run out of library. Lightning bolting each time that’s still only about 85 damage, and the board was at more life total than that
