I am so looking forward to these safe bike routes! It's really infuriating to see people taking advantage of the objections process to slow this project down just because they want to have valuable public real estate continue to be devoted to street parking for their own personal vehicles for as long as possible.

Im looking forward to them as well! It's only natural to block as long as possible if you already have a spot, but then it leads to frustrations from both me and you 😕 Let's hope this legal process gets finished quickly so the routes can see the light of day.

Too bad that there is so many opposition from car owners. In Amsterdam when a new house is built, the owner does not get a parking permit. No, he has to buy his own parking spot on the street or in a parking garage. But that will be too much for Zürich.

Isn't the opposition natural though? :/ Actually in Zurich, you still have to pay for street parking/covered parking (you pay more rent if you get it with a parking spot). Also, if you do get a parking spot outside in a blue zone, you don't get a specific spot, but rather the right to park anywhere with an open space
