A spectacular video and one I had an absolute blast watching, it feels like a real documentary instead of a fabricated fiction story. Although you heavily glossed over the consequences of the war. Although I agree that Russia wouldn't utterly collapse, they have one of the largest populations of all time and even our _less_ dire version of the real world, they organized 20+ million soldiers to protect themselves from total annihilation, the annihilation that _would_ come. Don't forget, Hitler's main goal was not only to eradicate the Jews for good, _(which would probably get away about as scot free as you described, because perhaps a Nazi-alligned Britain might knock some sense into ol' Hitler's brain or at least help save Jewish lives),_ but also the Slavs. They would get the worse of the holocaust and systematic massacres, and millions upon millions of Russians, Ukrainians, Belarussians, etc. would perish. Hitler just wouldn't allow for the Soviet Union to continue its existence like that, he'd maybe only agree to peace if the Bolsheviks were deposed for good and executed (or I suppose they'd flee to this world's more Communist-sympathetic USA). I don't think that *''it's not such a bad world,''* unless you specifically want to see the Eastern Slavs driven to annihilation. There would be extremely tough Guerilla campaigns from the Rus states that are now inside Lebenstraum, whilst the Caucasians might get a better treatement. Millions more Russians would die and this war could be much deadlier than the one in real life, especially when you consider its consequences, which would become the greatest atrocities committed in the history of humankind. When it comes to borders themselves, be sure as heck Finland would engulf all of the Kola peninsula and what was the Karelian SSR. One last mention, the so called ''Lebenstraum'' also involved *ALL* of Poland, which was due for the largest extermination campaign of the entire project, aiming for 95% killed/deported and the remaining 5% possibly spared and ''Germanified.'' I don't know how Poland's status as an Axis country affects this reality, as German ideology still despised the Poles, not to mention how the bulk of Russian/Soviet land of Lebenstraum would be disconnected and rendered an exclave by the Polish nation... Most of all - How would *BRITAIN* react to such indiscriminate slaughters to begin with? I guess the same way as other Axis nations did, by the government propaganda and secrecy of the project keeping the populace away from such facts..... It'd be an absolutely crazy, demented world, how could you even say it's not a bad world... It would border 1984 in terms of insane levels of dystopia. ALSOOO you never touched upon the subject of nukes! What about them? I feel as if the Manhatten project could be accelerated, if anything. Of course, not like the Americans were in any shape to nuke Berlin or Tokyo, although attempts would be made to develop an unimaginably high-altitude bomber.

very interesting analysis. I think the war would end before the nukes. the american atomic program will not have the important british help, the german/british program did not have the enormous resources necessary.for a weapon that may work or not

@@zvallid The Germans and the British would have IMMENSE resources for the project. They have all of Europe, Africa, Middle East, Central Asia, East Asia. As soon as China falls, Russia inevitably falls. So, with the whole of Europe (Including Russia), Africa, Asia, they would have PLENTY of resources for such a project.

Finally it’s here And damn it was fire. Yeah Britain, Germany Italy and Japan along with the British Dominions, Thailand and the rest of Europe other than France would be unstoppable. The British and German Industries being in full swing and both damaged after destroying each other would negate the American industry advantage, the number of British and German planes, ships and tanks would make any American attempt into invading Europe or their colonial empires a suicidal nightmare. Especially with Japan still being a major threat in the far east. It’s a strong possibility that if America still pressures France to decolonise the French would join the Axis in order to maintain their empire, uniting all of Europe and their colonies making an un penetrable block impossible for America to invade. This scenario is very well made.

Tbh the very notion that America would be involved at all is kind of silly. Obviously they would have stayed out of it if no one but the Soviets opposed Axis. Why would America pressure France to decolonise? The French would be relatively amicable to many Axis nations regardless.

Unlikely but it is a possibility and that would make a very interesting world as it essentially kicks America out of the Eastern Hemisphere.

More than likely america either stays neutral, or takes over canada and it becomes a sea/air war with neither axis or allies able to make a push into the others main territory. Usa has a strong chance to still be the first to get the atomic bomb though, so might have more atomic bombings in said world, wouldn't be out of question that english/german cities get hit by an atomic bomb. On bright side if usa does still become the allies and fight against the axis we can expect extremely strong relations with Russia as usa forces will likely have to go to Eastern front to help hold the line, since an invasion from England to Normandy can't happen till extremely late war, assuming usa takes Britain. A combined English/german/italian/ possible French fleet since UK had to attack it in our time line would pretty much ensure till like 1945-1947 before usa could reach Europe and invade. Usa would need to push for English colonies to leave British if possible so an australian/Indian uprising would likely be in their best interests. It is possible usa maintains friendly relationships with japan by not messing with their trade and them in China, but with having uk fleet support their is equal as much chance they pursue the war full sail. England aligning with axis could be handled only if colonies/dominion can be brought to usa side otherwise it's a long war that probably requires atomic bomb to start pushing into Europe/Asia. Honestly I do look forward to hearing about the usa fighting in Russia and possible china/Manchuria assuming Russia attacks japan early alongside American troops. Hell of an interesting end to war though, china, russia, and america would be extremely close due to having fought side by side on front line together.

Because Roosevelt hated the french. During ww2, they tried everything to make french on the loosing side and get rid of De Gaulle. They also tried to impose AMGOT. The french also have oversea territory in America wich would threaten american sphere of influence in the continent if the french decide to side whit the Germans.@tk-6967

I think there are aspects of this speculated war that are missing. The UK and Germany both are developing jet engines and collaboration is likely which would leave the Americans and Allies in trouble. Britain was ahead of the USA in developing nuclear weapons and its only problem was testing its development. In reality, the Manhattan Project was a co-US-British project where the USA inherited the UK's developments which advanced the project by several years. Germany was also well advanced in this area. So I think, it is likely that the USA would have been bombed earlier than 1945. Also, there is the question of the German advancement in rocketry which seems to me to be a possible delivery system.

Absolute banger! Although later on, I feel like Portugal, Greece, and Yugoslavia would join in on the fight against the Americans and Soviets since there apart of the Axis. As soon as China falls, the millions of Japanese and Indians who we're fighting against the Chinese, would now instead be fighting against the Soviets in the east. With fronts tied up all the from Finland, Middle east, Persia, East Asia, the Soviets would be outright outnumbered. British, German, Italian, Finnish, Japanese, Canadian, Thai, Slovakian, Hungarian, Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish, Greek, Yugoslavian, Indian, Australian, New Zealand, Polish, Romanian, Bulgarian, Iranian, troops would be able to outnumber the already significantly weakened Soviets. As soon as Russia falls, the "World" (As in Axis), could drive their full attention not on their army's, but on their naval and air forces. But, secretly as well, into their nuclear program. After the Axis establishes full naval control in both the pacific and Atlantic, they could try to quickly secure back Canada from the enemy. (The Canadians who would of been brutally occupied by the Americans would also support the Axis's efforts.) Soon, with Canada Recaptured, the Axis, who would of at this point had the bomb, outright sent an ultimatum to the USA, either surrender, or you know..

Can’t see giving up India , the only reason we gave up our colonies was because we were indebted to the Americans who threatened to call in the debt while sending millions to our previous enemies. America wanted a peer competitor destroyed whereas Germany saw a strong Britain as a good influence on geopolitics. I also believe France would not have sat out the war with Germany not seeking the return of Alsace Lorraine .

19:51 you need to remember that in our timeline the battle of Moscow had more British tanks than Soviet tanks defending Moscow. You may have underestimated the volume of material help and intelligence help that Britain gave the soviets. I can’t see this battle being anywhere near as close as you have predicted

Italy had so many problems in so many fields that it was just not possible for them to perform like the germans or the british. The italians outnumbered the british in Africa, but british army was more mechanized, which is the only important aspect in the war in the desert as we can see during the Operation Compass. The best scenario we could imagine is one in which Germany makes the war in the Mediterranean a main priority and gives full assistance to the italian forces, but an Italy which takes the Suez canal alone is too unrealistic.

I think you should've mentioned that Mosley and FDR used to be friends before the 1930s, as Mosley was a member of the British aristocracy and FDR did know plenty of aristocrats like Churchill. There's a big chance Mosley and FDR would be pals in the beginning until Mosley befriends Hitler.

While fascists are less unpalatable and have more valid points than the Nazis, that does not mean that they aren't self interested. Their talk of culture and tradition is nonsense, and they simply used it to bolster their own party support, essentially making the country subservient to the party. 11:00 Roosevelt would never have the popular or the political support to aid the Soviet Union against fascism. Whilst Japan-America relations may still remain negative, the US' financial interests demanded that they remain neutral to the fascists, and the dislike of communism in the US would make helping the Soviets too unpopular with the general public. Also, lend lease wouldn't even be possible because Roosevelt wouldn't be able to come up with an excuse to start preparing for war. As far as Americans would be concerned, the fascists were the lesser evil to the communists, and thus Roosevelt would be viewed as a war monger if he ordered the US military to expand. People don't understand how pathetic the pre-war US military was; most of the US' iconic designs were produced in the 1940s. In this timeline, the US would still have a crappy, ageing military with a decent but nowhere near powerful enough navy.

The reason Barbossa worked out so well in the first few days was that Stalin was too focused internally and ddidn't pay enough attention to the Germans readying on their border. With a strong axis, Stalin would see this and be preparing for a such a war far quicker, and the army would be more prepared. Additionally, FDR was an anglophile through and through, he wouldn't join the war. Additionally, Germany would never partner with Japan, as Japan was no longer necessary as a partner in this timeline because Germany would use the Bitish navy.

It even had better and more numerous tanks than Germany, but didn't use them 1/10 as well. USSR was much better in this regard, but didn't have enough time to fully reorganize, rearm and mobilize it's army.

@@kindlingking The thing is USSR was very backwards in technology they used flags to communicate didn't even had radios in tanks. Their overall organization would still be the same in the early war or maybe the entire war in this alternate timeline. Look, people do not realize that germany alone was very capable of defeating/stalemating USSR even in our OG timeline while battling UK empire with their dominions and colonies. 20th century Germany was cracked whether in ww1 or ww2. USSR will be the only country capable of fighting of the Germans when they were at the height of their power. But I just do not see them lasting too long without germany being at war with the brits let alone germans having brits, italians, polish, romanians and hungarians on their side. USSR will be on their last legs coming the start of 1942.

You forget the delay Germany had in Greece of a month or so fighting the British, this would not have happened or the occupying forces needing in Poland etc. They almost made it to Moscow in this reduced timeline which would have cut off every road and rail link , starting a month earlier with British help the fall of Russia to the urals would be a foregone conclusion and as it says there would be no eastern Russian forces coming to their aid. I also believe France would not risk missing out on the spoils and would have joined the axis powers .

though if you really think about it, the reason ussr got blitzkrieg all the way to moscow is because they positioned their troops close to the border with the intention to invade the axis along with the constrution of bridges, railways, etc. that would also include removing bombs in bridges and many places because historically hey have a plan to invade the axis first. in this timeline soviets won't do that. basically slowing down the axis as they have to build new roads to supply their troops, and the bad road and destroyed bridges and railways would slow down troops. is that impactful?

maybe because the soviets anticipated the war, they would move their population east? and they wouldn't positioned their airforces, infantries and tanks close to the border as it would get encircled and destroyed, or bombed?. that would save the soviets a lot of men and their airforce would still be able to fight along with 20 thousand tanks. the whole thing would slow the axis, even stalemate the front for a couple of months for the soviets to recruit more soldiers (early in the war they only have 2 million men maybe more in this timeline), and do anything to help itself in a war or annihilation

The British Empire, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Finland, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Greece, Turkey, Japan, Thailand, Persia would crush the Americans and the Soviets. This was SUCH an optimistic scenario. It was still very fun though. But regards to the allies winning, never.

Interesting perspective. Although it is well known that Hitler never desired a conflict with the British Empire, it is inconceivable that Germany would not have attacked France. Hitler despised the French, blaming them as the prime architect of the hated Treaty of Versailles. He would have exacted revenge against France at the earliest opportunity. There would have been no conflict, but most likely a complete capitulation by the French, as with the British Empire in the Axis they would have been surrounded on all sides with no allies - an impossible position for France. It is similarly unlikely that the low countries would have been allowed to continue unaffected and would most likely have become puppet satellites of Germany. I also think that inevitably, Hitler would have insisted on his domination of the Axis union, which would have ultimately been unacceptable to the British. There might have been a closer alliance between Britain and Japan but the Japanese Imperial expansion would always threaten US Pacific interests, which would also have been contrary to Britain's relationship with the USA. So it's a very interesting piece with some elements of credibility but ultimately the British could never have coexisted with Hitler's Reich and war between the two was inevitable - as much from a British perspective as Hitler's.

I don't think Hitler would invade France for no reason. France was allied with Britain and attacked Germany first with two failed invasions. And during the occupation, the French were treated well by the Germans. There could be some kind of negotiations, though.

@fador1337 Attack France for "no good reason"! The Treaty of Versailles gave Hitler the only reason he ever needed as a much aggrieved WW1 corporal to attack France. It was in his very DNA. In the scenario, Britain is an Axis Power allied with Germany, so certainly would not be continuing as an ally of France. With France isolated and Britain unwilling to get involved, Hitler's obsession with vengeance would be all the reason he needed to invade France. Do not confuse our actual timeline circumstances with the hypothetical ones proposed in this scenario.

@@dw8609 Britain fear every country who could have a navy strong for challeng them and Italia and Spain was not the best friend of Germany in reality ( Hitler even hate Franco and refuse to give up german claim on italian land). So i think France and the benelux will stay neutral for nobody take it and germany have no influance on the english chanel and protect the french fleet to be in the german hand, Spain will be no contact with Germany and Italia will have a protector if germany go too agressif. So the fall of France will not be benificial for all german allies and be more a danger for them. The only thing who could be is probably a pressur for France to give up alsace-lorraine to Germany

France had treated Germany very badly , stationing African troops in the Rhineland but I think Hitler knew his only expansion that could be sustained was in the east , he could not afford a stab in the back and a war on two fronts. Without Britain on his side with her navy and resources I believe he would have made peace with France who eventually would have joined the axis so not to miss out on the spoils like Italy.

Before anything else, this was an absolutely fantastic video and scenario! Amazing work to all you guys. :) I would however like to voice my thoughts on some of these matters. For one, while it would have been a literal bloodbath, I do think that America on its own could have liberated the rest of the world if they put all their might into it. If not, they'd at least be able to defend the New World, as an Axis invasion of North America is far too impossible. Also, I would like to say I do think in the long run, Fascism would eventually fall in Europe and make a return to Democracy. Maybe even earlier as long as America doesn't go isolationist. But this was all fantasic. Awesome work guys. ❤

As soon as Russia falls, the Americans are out right DONE for. The British Royal Navy, Imperial Japanese Navy, German Kriegsmarine, Italian Regia Marina, Spanish Navy, Portuguese Navy, and all other Axis Navies would essentially make ANY landing IMPOSSIBLE! Let alone the RAF AND Luftwaffe COMBINED! Not even a need for the other Axis air forces! Just the the RAF and Luftwaffe! And, let's just say in an IMPOSSIBLE scenario the USA was able to land troops. British, German, Italian, Finnish, Japanese, Canadian, Thai, Slovakian, Hungarian, Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish, Greek, Yugoslavian, Indian, Australian, New Zealand, Polish, Romanian, Bulgarian, and Iranian forces would outright OVERWHELM the Americans. It's not even close. The USA just exceeded the weakened Great Britain in our timeline in LATE 1943.. Even so, the British Empire's navy remained the biggest in the world at the end of the war. Approximately 600 ships made up Great Britain at the end of the conflict. The USA Navy in it's entirety had about 900. Let's now include the dominions in the game. By 1945, Canada's fleet, which was, coincidentally, the third largest in the world, numbered perhaps in the range of 350 to 400 ships. When the fleets of Australia and New Zealand are included, the weaker British Empire eventually becomes larger than the United States of America-and this is ALL inside OUR timeline. "Canada is instantly getting devoured" The USA is CONSIDRABLY weaker than it was in OUR era, so the USA would not "instantly" swallow them. It would only be after several months that the USA WOULD be able to conquer Canada. "Easily build a navy that surpasses Britain" A significantly more powerful Royal Navy would really overwhelm the outmatched American fleet. Not only that, but it would be a devastation. Germany and Italy's strong fleets, particularly Italy's, would be able to go across and relocate to the Atlantic if they joined Britain in the conflict. along with the British fleet in the Mediterranean. Therefore, the USA would most definitely not be able to get through if Germany, Italy, and especially Britain had fleets that were SIGNIFICANTLY far more powerful then they we're in OUR timeline. Furthermore, a Spanish and Portuguese fleet would also be beneficial to them. Remember the Canadian fleet, too. But that's limited to the Atlantic. In the Pacific, a Japanese, British, Australian, and New Zealand fleet would also squeeze the USA through. That's not all, resources, GDP, Industry, technology, manpower, etc. As soon as Russia and China fall, it's over for you Americans.
