About a month ago I set up a training cave with Zwift, a pc, 40 inch screen, and a Kickr 2. My FTP has gone up about 8% since I've started using it. I ride solo in the "real world" so I don't get much of the competitive group ride thing. However, the Zwift environment has me riding much harder than I do outside. After 3-4 months of training with my new set up, I relish the improvements that I will see this coming spring.

Eduardo França Porto That's an excellent idea, I was thinking the same thing. I'm just learning about it and I thought that's what they were doing. Actual roads to ride around the world with specs (ascending,descending,grades etc.) with the real landscape would be great even for the pros.

I think it certainly could, if it did come true that a running mode was added. as a cyclist an a runner I would have some questions. The biggest most important one is if yea had a tablet or phone could you hook it up to the treadmills at your local gym. I think it has a lot of potential to be amazing though, one of the biggest problems I find with treadmill training with friends is that everyone chooses their own speed, then when yea get outside yea cant run together. so this could potentially help solve that.

Thanks! I think that if there is a way to link a Bike Trainer, a Running Machine and simulating swimming using the readings of a hearth-rate monitor, all in the same session and account, there could be a way to implement triathlon on Zwift, though the swimming part could be a problem.

We'd have to ask Zwift! We can confirm that wearing cycling shoes in running mode isn't the best idea, though.

Currently it works with Bluetooth Smart foot pods (Polar do one), TickrX/Run HR straps in Run mode (Those have accelerometers). Maybe possible to use ANT+ foot pods with the use of an ANT+ to BLE bridge... I haven't had any personal experience with that solution though.

Zwift is really a great plattform. I love it and many riders i knwo use it a lot. I am looking forward for the next steps. Maybe you can make the driving screen configurable. Many users us Plasma-Tv´s and after a while there is the ghosting effect.

Someone please help me out here with how Zwift works. I have a garmin ANT+, no power meter, and a roller. Could I connect to zwift and easily cruise at 50kph on my roller? What makes the resistance consistent across the board (ie zwift) for all riders. That is, can one turn down the turbo trainer resistance and 'cheat'? Thanks

@Zwift, I am always freezing up in the snowy mountains of Watopia, what about the right clothing instead of riding in short sleeve summer clothes? Maybe you could earn the right clothing and then get a little performance increase up in the cold weather/snow and a maybe a decrease of your performance if you wear the wrong clothes. The same with the rain, no rain jackets, no overshoes, no hats on Zwift.

This video is responsible for me running out to the bike shop and purchasing a Kickr. Anybody using Zwift on an IPAD? How is it relative to a laptop/desktop? In the store they had the Kickr/Zwift connected through an Alienware console and the graphics were great. I'm wondering if I should get the Alienware console or upgrade my Ipad to the Pro with the 12" screen. Any thoughts/comments? Thanks for helping me decide.

It runs nicely on an iPad Pro, but it's no match for a true gaming system. If you're looking at an Alienware, aim high and get the R2 version with the nVidia card. Zwift in 4k mode and silky smooth graphics is something you can't unsee, it's brilliant.
