Some who have these faulty trainers are still racing on Mywhoosh every Sunday mopping up all the prize money. Bit of a moral grey area.

I dunno mate. I'm fully behind the riders that have been ANL in the zwift races. I've seen what they're capable of at worlds. As far as I know they've all either invested in new secondary sources, changed trainers for elite racing or got the device in question lining up through spindowns or lower TD. I had 3.5% difference on the grade in ZWS qualifier two, lowering the TD was enough to sort it out for the final and whoosh is 50% TD.

They need to release The Games information sooner than later. The hardware fixes is one thing, and it obviously involves multiple groups. The Games situation is something they need to just figure out and take us out of the dark. Surely they just don’t have a plan now.

I saw the announcement / e-mail earlier today and it's definitely a shame. I am surprised that the issues are so deep that they can't be quickly solved with firmware but I also know that postponing had to be an option of last resort so clearly Wahoo (maybe Elite as well) need some more time to put these issues to bed. The power outputs involved may be causing issues with hardware tolerances such that firmware alone may not be able to fully resolve it. Not sure where you go from there though. I also saw that they haven't fully communicated about Zwift Games qualification and agree with you that they need to figure something out that won't exclude riders that clearly deserve to be a part of it. Hopefully you can find some interesting races in the interim - or like you said, not a bad time to periodizing your training to peak later.

Yeah, are they new issues or just finally being looked at, addressed, questioned this season? I know the VS stuff was new, but the other issues. I've had bad duals at times in 2023/24. Yeah, time is good in that regard. That time to hopefully get things right. I also think it's good they're looking at re-writing the rule book with potentially the look to be more lenient on the athletes, where one out of the blue annulment can ruin an entire season instantly. Yeah - there's no fair for all solution now. and while my spot was secure, I've got stakes in the game below the top 50, so I want it expanded for fairness.. It's never bothered me, because of my race style but top riders want the elite fields to be 50 max.

I would be interested to hear about your training, and how you build up in the months towards your goals.

@@chrismadge7292 I think that's an interesting one too, glad someone else thinks that 📈

It's a bit of a disgrace that wahoo and Zwift can't sort this out. It's also disappointing the issue isn't being covered by the "tech review" names in this space. It's not just affecting high output riders like wahoo claims, it's boosting riders from 4 to 4.7wkg for races. That's just ridiculous and not fit for purpose.

Yeah how's the general punter going to know their trainer is reading incorrectly, when from one session to the next there can be discrepancies with people who analyse the duals every ride. Added notes: Most of the issues this season have been Wahoo related, but several Elite brand riders got ANL the previous race/s now too! I imagine some of the multiple issues are on multi platform too, but the show goes on over there and the approach seems to be benefit of the doubt to the riders, as I haven't seen many annulments there! Not a good space atm, but at least there seems to be more camaraderie among the riders rather than finger pointing of old 🙏

@_joshharris interesting that Elite now have issues, is this the ones running virtual shifting? I have long thought the +-1% was utter BS since wahoo went with autocalibration when looking at team mates issues with consistency in duals. It's always been hard to tell if it's the assioma duos auto calibration maybe also being an issue as well. Either way the tech reviewers who get these perfect dual records don't seem to line up with reality for online racing.

@@titaniumben9923 i'm not entirely around the Elite DQ's, but someone intelligent did comment RE: Autocal "there was a reason they turned it off for World Champs"... Funny you say that, my Assiomas had a firmware update available the other day. Hours prior I had a random dual where they started out reading fine, and then were 6-10% low by the end... It was 100% the Assiomas incorrect on that occasion. Yeah, I wish i had GP Lama's duals every ride!

AMEN! Never understood how those reviewers have such perfect graphs
