I was at the show the night before (9-24-22) at the dos Equis amphitheater in Dallas Texas. It was the 50th anniversary of my 21st birthday. It was great seeing Jeff. I had enjoyed him every since his days with the yardbirds. Who knew he would be gone in 3mos. IMHO he will always be at the head of the table of greats.

Good lord there must be $500,000 in Magnatone amps on that stage. That tone!! Billy smoothly strides through these songs like water flows down a creek 🤘🏻🤘🏻 And Jeff Beck too. Not sure if it gets much cooler. These men are absolute legends. Rest in peace Jeff and stay healthy Billy.

As a Guitarist with both an SG & Les Paul, I think I got this. As much as I love my babies, not having straight string pulls is the one flaw of the wide head Gibsons The Snakehead neck of a V is a nice answer, if you can afford to call up the Custom Shop and say "Hey, its me, Billy...yeah...say when can you shoot me a few SGs with Flying V Necks?...Ok Good". There is a nice device you can buy for bout 80 bucks called a String Butler....it locks to the first tuning pegs on the head, which are actually straight, and it has graduated rollers that make all the string pulls straight, without the Snakehead, and keep the original look, if that's your thing.

Ironically, the only thing (mostly) not fake, is Eldwood's bass playing. Love them them though. Have had many chances to see them but just never did. But I still want to see them before BFG kicks the bucket. RIP DUSTY

Fake? BFG’s guitar parts are certainly NOT fake, nor Nor Frank’s drumming… nor the vocals , and even at 78 Jeff Beck would have shoved his Strat in you where there’s no sunlight. Do they use effects processing? Of course - so does virtually everyone playing large venues. But delay, octave generators, distortion/fuzz and vocal processing effects don’t make a damned thing “fake”. Run along and go play your favorite Taylor Swift tunes and figure out HER backing tracks on your $30 bongos and come back when you know how real musicians…not dancers posing as musicians… play. What are you, 12?

​@@awalls8122not any more, altho some artists, like steely dan, did have the ushers telling everyone (even cellphones) not to record and, for some reason, i got some lady at the rob zombie concert last year who decided i wasn't allowed to take video, altho everyone with cellphones were... some people have real issues, lol. but in general they don't give me any hassle cause the camera is small (but they have no idea it is very powerful). Last week, however, at Kenny Loggins, there was something new: no loose batteries, only one battery in the camera... brand new rule which only really applies if you take it out of your pocket and they see it.

​@@awalls8122i am very still, very focused and my back kills me by the end of a concert when the crowd stands (and forces me to stand) because i have to be as still as i can, it takes practice, but the 2023 show, omg, i had the worst a-hole in front of me that kept moving in my way and i move around a lot. not sure what to tell you. there is no guarantee you can get the ticket you want during a presale.... but there is also a lot of shenanigans with presales i do not understand as many times, after the frenzy is over and regular tickets go on sale, better seats will become available... so presale is sometimes a ripoff. not a fan of ticketmaster or livenation because i believe they are usurping their power. but a sucker is born every day and if you are new to the ticket buying game, then they will get you paying way too much. some shows it's just best to wait to see what tickets come up after the presale and check weeks/days before the show for tickets to open up... still, better than the days of waiting in line overnight

I stopped going to there concerts because they tend to get stuck way back in the past too much,,, I'd like to hear sleeping bag, Velcro fly, burger man, planet of women and all the other more UPBEAT SONGS,, instead of all the older heard it a million times stuff,, I'm still a FAN AND LOVE ALL THESE VIDEOS, but if I'm going to pay to see them "LIVE" again they're going to have to get up to date more and stop playing some of the older stuff. Just my opinion,,, ONE THING I'M VERY GRATEFUL FOR IS THAT BILLY AND FRANK, DECIDED TO KEEP GOING WITH ELWOOD ON BASS! seems like Billy's energy has been given a boost etc,, you can tell on this video, that he's having FUN WITH ELWOOD ON STAGE.. yes like everyone else, i miss dusty, but the amount of pain he had to be in with hip and shoulder problems,, I'M GLAD HE'S AT REST NOW AND PAIN FREE! we will probably never know what exactly took him from us, but I'm sure with all that pain etc,, he bound to have been on some POTENT MEDICINE, and with ulcer issues too, it's quite possible it was a BLEEDING ONE AND HE BLEED OUT. Whatever the case may be, it doesn't matter he's at peace! The body is very FRAGILE, IT'S HIGHLY POSSIBLE HIS HEART COULDN'T HANDLE ALL THE STRESS. But let's all be thankful billy and frank GIVE IN TO HIS( DUSTY'S) WISHES AND DECIDED TO KEEP THE PARTY ROLLING,, AND LET'S ALL GIVE ELWOOD THE CREDIT HE DESERVES,, HE'S ROCKING THE BASS SECTION BAD TO THE BONE!!! R.I.P. MR HILL, THE FANS LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU GREATLY.....
