What sample are you using, is that a disk sample or your original. It’s great like Fender Rhodes that’s been thrown in a swimming pool

I had one and wrote an entire album in which one single reached top 40 R&B, 1992. the next batch of songs I wrote, procured me a publishing deal and a record deal at Warner Brothers. That keyboard was instrumental in my career as a musician and a songwriter and singer. I no longer have the keyboard but still have my entire library of discs for it which I’ve kept in case I ever want to try to find another EPS and load up for nostalgia sake.

I'm looking for a nice MS-1 (again!). Just bought an SU10. However, the screen is almost invisible if you look straight on, has to be tipped at an angle to read anything. Is yours the same? Are all the LCs just fading off?

i found a way to do this without an interface i resample every track into my mpc one and put the stems in a folder. with seq count in to click, i'm able to line up the stems correctly🔥

Do you know what audio format you get when extracting the audio? Is it lossless or does it compress the audio quality in any way?

@@HerEvilTwin it’s.wav . It does not compress it on the way in. KZbin has its own compressed audio. Other synth apps should be perfect

hello my friend :) i'm really glad you uploaded these tutorials for this machine. i was lucky and found myself an eps with 4x memory for only 200 bucks! now i have some questions i couldn't answer by reading the manual. can you adjust the samplerate after sampling or is this only possible while sampling? the second question is, can i somehow change the volume of a sample after i put multiple samples on one instrument track? And the last question is, can you play samples on different velocities like in 16 levels (mpc)?

@@Paddydacook yes you can adjust the sample rate after you sample. That feature can be found in the “Command” menu and scroll to “adjust sample rate” or Command then press 8. Hit enter and then you’ll be prompted to load the OS disk. Then all of the sample rates will be offered up. Hit enter and you’ll have a preview screen “new” or “old”

@@Paddydacook to adjust the volume of an individual sample on a multi sample layer, hit the edit button then select the number of the wave sample you want to adjust “WS: 5” for example - then hit the “AMP” key. Use the data slider or the up/down arrows to adjust the volume of just that sample You can adjust ALL the samples volumes if you select ALL in the edit menu

@@Paddydacook there’s no velocity play like an MPC, but you can copy the wave to a different key by copying “data” only and the way you’re not using extra memory

@@SamFillippo you can koala on android with no problems. You won’t be able to do the split screen trick because you can’t route audio from one app to another on android.

Great video, I noticed you have an SU10 in the background, which do you prefer the S20 or SU10?

@@canecreek00 the S20 runs circles around the SU10 and laughs at it in terms of sound and functionality. But the SU10 has the cool ribbon effects and is battery powered. The S20 is more of a proper sound module whereas the SU10 is a cool performance and improvisation tool.

It works well ! Genius ! I had a problem at the beginning. You have to active auto trim on record in the settings. It gives you the good Start point. And you don't really care the ending of the recording cause the trick of the notes in the sequencer will make the sampler reloop before the end of the recording. Really smart ! Thank you !

@@danieljimenezp unfortunately, android does not have any way to route audio between apps. You can use screen recording instead. Sorry. Older iPads are cheap now. You can probably get an Air 2 for a hundred bucks these days. I have that runs Koala with no problem

Mine turned into inerapp audio but didn’t record any sound, I exit out and go back in and it doesn’t change back to IAA, but I hold down a pad and push keys from an app and it records a sound but the audio sounds different

I just bought it on sale for 8,- bucks which is absolutely crazy. Gone through a ton of IOS daws and this is by far the best one. So many things copied from Ableton which is not a bad thing :- )

Think you! Great TUTORIAL ! I got one for free. I die not come with a power supply. And it did not work with average ones. It needs very specific values like an old NES. It works and I cleaned it. That was not done since the nineties. I hope to get something great out of it.

That error code is usually associated with a midi error. Try disconnecting any midi cables from the EPS
