Just today I got a flat on the interstate in our 24 sport touring. lucky we were 1 exit from the dealer and made it before the tire went completely flat. Wll cost $345 to replace the tire. and I have to leave my car there for 4 days till they can get the tire. I have bought 6 cars there so they gave me a 24 passport black edition to use for the duration. Now I am torn between buying this spare or just trading in the crv (2400 mi.)for a ridgeline black and giving my wife my 24 pilot elite. This car we did not get the tire and wheel warranty pkg,because they raised the price and lowered the coverage. Figures,but it was a gamble since we have not got a flat since 1984. But now we live in the desert 45 minutes from anything so do I really want to get caught out again?

Thank you for the small-mirror upgrade suggestion. What this really helps including parking is parking next to the curve and avoiding curve-rash. Saves damages on your wheels as well as the extra need to prop open the door to see whether your car is lined-up with the parking lines.

The electric parking brake you should be able set it to automatically come on when you shift into park. Read the owners manual ( now there’s something most people don’t do ). My guess would, be that it’s similar to the Hybrid RAV4. Maybe it’s 1 or two clicks “ up “ and then hold it up for 3-5 seconds. The backup noise is a bit of a pain but if people turn to look at your car, it’s doing its job. Yes hybrids make little to no engine noise in reverse but then same thing with pretty much any other vehicle gas included ( unless people have put on those exhausts that are louder and don’t do anything for power despite what people think ). The RAV4’s wireless charger is also pretty sad. I’ve driven for a couple hours starting with a 25% charge and after two hours it’s only at 86%. This new Honda still falls short of the current 4th year RAV4 except if your kid is 6 foot 4 in the back seat where the Honda has more legroom. Also if you are in a situation that really needs AWD the Honda probably gets more serious power to the back wheels.

The lines on the rear view camera show the entire width of the car at the outer edge mirrors, which is important in very tight spots.

Thank you. Unfortunately the HONDA sales people at Herb Chamber never told me about this. I found out when I blew out a tire on the highway. The Honda 'repair' kit doesn't work for anything other than a slow leak. I would not have purchased the 2022 CRV Hybrid if I was told it does not come with a spare.

I have a question for you, did your CRV already come with engine hood insulation or did you buy it?

Same exact thing with the 2021 TLX I had. They're basically just there for looks, not functional at all (wireless charger)

As an owner of a 24 CRV. Majority of your complaints are valid. The back up camera one, shows you the width of the car with the yellow lines. The horn and reverse sound is terrible. The reverse sound is much quieter on the accord hybrid.

Have you tried putting a magsafe sticker on the charging pad to maintain the phone’s orientation?

Nothing is “PERFECT”. There will ALWAYS be issues. Always. Honda has to compete with so many other options on the market. The challenge is, a car manufacturer has to compete and it’s always on a continuum between quality and price. Honda could make the CRV cost $1 million, and make every single little thing perfect! Well, not “perfect” but more perfect than any other car. But no one we pay $1 million for it. every single car has little issues because every single car only has so much money that they’re able to put into the car and still have it Sell. I know you said that for $50,000 it shouldn’t have all these things “issues”. Maybe that’s not at all true. Maybe the car needs to be $60,000 and they can take care of all the things that you have issues with. However, this would mean a lot less people would buy it because there are other options.
