HONDA CRV 2023 - CHROME DELETE!

A MUST DO UPGRADE in my opinion! chrome delete with 3M vinyl. Chrome is so 2000s era for car design… a delete easily enhances your vehicles look.

Rubbing alcohol $1-3 at any pharmacy or some grocery stores. Scalpel optional. Just had it. Blade in the kit is fine. Microfiber towel for cleaning.

Another great upgrade! I definitely would be interested in seeing the fog lights. That’s one of the things I miss from my old cry. I didn’t know that the hybrid had its own all weather floor mats. I transferred my from my old ones into my hybrid.

Found the headlights good, except for rainy nights as you said. Still miss fog lights. My 2018 crv is awesome at night with all those super bright amazon led lights lol I like the blackout, I just don't have the patience and refuse to pay anyone to do it.

@@DrHondaCRV I'm going to add caps to improve visibility of ac vents, 304 stainless mirror finish license plate holder, remove dealer stickers, do led rear blinkers, maybe replace the horn. Waiting on the good weather tech mats to come out, bought the rear cargo cover and partially ruined due to wrong placement... Which by the way, what a waste of money considering people can still see your trunk from that rear little side windows... Nothing too risky here hehe

@@DrHondaCRV Also ordered some warm white led lights for the sun visors. I don't know you, but I do absolutely all my maintenance, my car will never ever see a mechanic, and I found the location of the engine filter to be the worst ever imaginable. All the way shoved in the back between fuel and brake fluid lines. So hard to take in and out. Cut myself I don't know how many times lol. Of course Honda uses those nasty oiled engine filters, so I ordered an aftermarket one. Those oiled filters are truly bad for sensors and will eventually create an oily film everywhere the air goes after that. Also noticed that I have to remove the entire door to replace the cabin air filter, but it is super easy anyway. The door just doesn't go far down enough otherwise.

@@DrHondaCRV Ok, my last observation I hope lol. Hate the way washer fluid comes out, plus we don't have any indicator light for low fluid as Canadian versions. So you can't see the fluid, neither know when it's low. Freaking bizarre. Then it was a great surprise, that even if crappy, you can use the fix and go compressor to fill your tires. Threw away the liquid fix, but nice to have the compressor hidden like that, and for free.

Theres no honda accessory correct. I have purchased 3rd party accessories. There is a slot for fog light switches left of the steering wheel however. 2 blanks. Nice color choice! Id be interested to see it with black trims. Itd look nice with a deflector and black door handles.

3M is amazing quality. So i would expect it to last a long time. It wouldn’t take too long to replace if needed as well. I wouldn’t trust other brand vinyls.

I used a big sheet for that part. And cut it out once i placed it on top. Not the easiest part. Bending doesnt work too well at 90deg

I guess it depends which way their brushes are spinning. against the opening wouldnt be great.. on another note, don't take your new car into a automated washer! might as well wash it with sand paper XD. micro scratches for days... :(

I noticed that some people use hyperdip or plastidip on the chrome of their windows. Any reason you used tape instead? The tape is harder to get here than hyperdip but just wondering if there's anything in particular with the cr-v that made you use tape instead.

@@mauz30 So the dip isn't as durable. especially in high use areas. I honestly thought applying the tape was easier than the hyperdip. a lot faster too. logo i used paint because it was too intricate for vinyl tape, up to you!.

The second link in the bio for chrome delete is for a large sheet vinyl. I placed it over the whole window. Then cut it carefully with a razor blade right at the borders .

How did you do the last section of the window? I’m having a hard time tucking the vinyl in that section. The rubber trim seems much stiffer in that area.

So i used the 2x5 sheet in my description. I covered the whole window with it. Then did a rough cut carefully. Making sure not to cut the paint. Then a finer cut along the edge. I kept pushing it down with my hands to find the edge crease. If you accidentally cut short use a heat gun to stretch it out. Theres some videos on youtube. search for rear window 3m tinting.
