I think stick it to you means "I'm going to live my best life and show you" - but everyone is entitled to an interpretation I guess.

I was in a similar situation 4 years ago. I cut back so much and did every side hustle imaginable when I wasn’t working full time. I’m almost debt free! You can do it!

Hey Mel good to see you again. I like your new hair color. I remember the peri stage of life and it makes me laugh because I printed out a list of symptoms for my hubby and highlighted 'irrational irritability'. it was good to have an excuse right?

I've had to have two iron infusions over the years and I cannot tell you the difference it makes. The first time, I hadn't realised just how bad I had gotten because it was a slow decline but I felt like a different person afterwards. I really recommend getting it done if your levels are low enough for a doctor to suggest one. Or else, supplements help too but obviously take longer. And my mum and I had different standards of clean and tidy when I was a kid too 😂 lots of little squabbles until we figured out a system lol P.S. love the new hair (I could've sworn there was a hair flip emoji but 💁♀️ this is the closest I can find...)

So funny Mel, when you said you hope the car doesn’t break down 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I’ve had those same hopes many times over, whilst wearing my not so finest clothes 🤣🤣. You are your husband are such hard workers, and are wonderful parents. You are inspiring to so many of us. Much love ❤️❤️❤️❤️.

I will be the big 50 on the 22nd, and the big "M" has hit me hard too girl! I actually have a twice weekly estrogen patch that I put on my tummy right below my navel. These patches have helped me greatly with menopausal symptoms. Particularly with night sweats and mood swings! I really enjoyed this chatty catch-up! ❤

Hi Mel, always good to see your posts. Good news and the more challenging news. So you are Premenopausal, have a still healing injury that impairs your mobility, kids, employment, settling into a new home, and everyday life! Wow,you are amazing. Be kind to yourself. You have a wonderful family. Enjoy the entertainment that is planned. Don't worry about acknowledging this little note. This visit made my day better. Thanks! 🌷

So great to see things finally coming together after the move and surgery. You are SO strong, even though you may not feel it sometimes! Can't wait for the decluttering videos, especially since you're in a smaller space. We had to downsize dramatically and while I'm still going at it six years later, every step makes a difference! ❤

Girl. Iron insufficiency is *no* joke. If your insurance won’t cover the infusions, ask about the best supplement you can take. Mine had dropped to 3 around your age, and I told doc afterwards that he saved my life - it was *that* much of a difference. Currently my oldest daughter is a 4 and waiting for insurance to get on the ball 🤬 so her infusions can start.

Could you maybe pre-plan meals enough to let your kitchen staff (Instapot, crockpot, thermamix) work for you? A ‘set it and forget it’ approach? That way you’d still have an actual meal vs sandwich (and sandwiches are fine too) and no take out expense.

Your doing so well Mel. And yes! I remember taking my son to work also about 40 minute round trip hoping I did not break down due to my less then attractive wardrobe…lol I am 48 and have been dealing with premenopausal symptoms for a few years now. Nothing major but noticeable. My cycles are every 24 days opposed to the 28 that they were. Night sweats but not horrible. Hope you enjoy your girls trip! I am still trying to navigate the world without my guy. Been almost 3 months and I just can’t with it. I’m trying and that is all we can do. Take care of you!

Thanks for all your content. I've been watching you for about 2 yrs, (approximately). I understand a lot of your depression, etc. I just moved, & struggling with getting boxes unpacked, organizing, & setting up. I have a problem with not feeling good. I think we all understand that with moving. But I have the kitchen & living room done. Finishing up the bathroom, then on to my 2nd bedroom/office (with desk). So yeah it really helps to see your videos when they do pop up. Thank you. Oh, & any K-Mart hauls you might have. As they no longer have them in the United States, (Kansas). I like seeing what you buy & what they have now, where you live. ❣️🙏👍✌️

With the kiddo that has a different idea of cleanliness, I found that having a list for them to check off (so they don't forget steps), as well as taking pictures of what it looks like when it is up to my standards helped. I didn't need to do it for long, but it helped us be on the same page during the should be managing this on their own but not yet really able to do it without Mom standing there giving directions constantly to keep on task era.
@MySemiSortedLife2 ай бұрын
That’s a great idea. I was concentrating on giving consequences for not meeting my standards. 🤦♀️
@GoingGreenMom2 ай бұрын
@MySemiSortedLife totally get it, but eventually consequences felt like banging my head on a brick wall. Maybe it's different if they want to be obstinate, but mine is generally wanting to be helpful and get stuff right.
