I could def see 600w flex panel being integrated into the roof of a Model Y/X…A small 800w inverter pushing to the battery. 10-12 miles per day just from parking outside is worth it imo. I think coupled with a bit of home charging ppl would pay a bit to have that integrated.

ya i have a DIY solar powered phev. flush mounted flexible panels, 2x 100w panels. i removed the roof antena and routed the wires through that hole and into the low voltage system. covered up the hole with a marine wire cap thing that i rivited to my roof and then filled with silicone. this was almost a year ago. I paid for my phev with cash so my insurance is 24$/mo (used to be 18 but they be schemin me bro), and i can do whatever i want to it and not care that im hurting the resell value on an amount that ive financed. im the only one I know of who practically extracts ev range through the straightforward to me strategy of offsetting low voltage loads. theres not enough roof realestate to pay for the fee of energizing the high voltage contactors anyways, and i figure i will live longer if i avoid high voltage dc. it gets me between 3-10 extra miles of range per day, but because its all diy I added a microinverter which backfeeds my homes utility meter lol, so theres more savings there. 2013 chevy volt, paid 6500$, its paid for itself in the past 18mo ive owned it. put ~40k miles on it, ~140k miles on the dash. epa ev range was 38 miles, currently getting 45-50 miles each way to and from work (170mile commute = 2 gal of gas per day). averaged 85 mpg since ive owned it. i made a long post on the chevy volt forums and included info about expanding the low voltage battery to 4kwh of lifepo4, but recently went to a small lightweight lifepo4 battery since im building removable range extenders. edit: omg after reading the roomtemp iq replies to ur video i should really make a video about this....

Question, are you able to drive the vehicle without a plate due to waiting for appointment at BMV and if so how would you recommend not getting pulled over every minute with not having a temporary plate?

So the battery you have will charge and then the car charges on and off etc. Hope one day car batteries charge at lower wattage in future, so you don't need the in between battery

Go off manufacturer specifications for chain tensioning some will have you measure slack on the top of the swing arm (mostly dirt bikes) others will be off the bottom. More importantly torque the axel nut to spec a properly torqued nut or bolt shouldn’t back off. Also rotate the tire while measuring because chains dont always wear evenly.

The seller forgot to put the odometer reading. Is that required to register the car in Georgia? It's around 105k miles. Google says yes, but I don't want to make another mistake. Your video on how to properly fill out a state of California certificate of title was pretty thorough however you stated that all you needed on the front page of the certificate of title is the date and the signature of the seller, below that the agreed odometer reading, below that the date and signature of the seller on the left and the date and signature of the buyer on the right but you did not mention and totally skipped over The section at the bottom that says important read carefully: it asks for a signature but the instructions are any changes or lienholder holder of security interest must be reported to the DMV within 10 days so signature to with the signature releases interest in vehicle in parentheses company names need to be countersign and then it has release date so does the owner of the vehicle sign here as well He’s an individual not a business because it gives instructions that it is a business they have to sign but what about if it’s an individual so proprietor no business involved. You totally skipped over that area. I don’t want to go to AAA/DMV with an incomplete certificate of California certificate of title as I just bought this car. My first car was an 87' MR2. Loved that big go cart. My wrestling teammates would always pick up the front end and place it on the curb... which i could never get off of without taking out the bumper. Now I have an 86' Toyota Van. Similar body lines to the MR2. It's now electric and makes Chargers do a double take. Sidenote. I don't think they ever came with power steering. Front end is too light to need it.

1: To answer your question, the anode of the LED is on 3 pins, the one cathode pin (line side / negative side) is at the corner with the cutout. So technically it's the wrong part, the original had just two leads, but oh well, bending or snipping that pin off is a fine solution. 2: To get better contact / easier to solder bare copper, you can scrape between the LED's where the traces are. The black is just the board color, but coat it with something when you're done for moisture resistance. 3: Just one of those strands is plenty to electrically connect the LED, bridging it across multiple LED's where they don't have a good trace is a great option if the corrosion is bad. 4: Don't snip off the LED's or leftover parts of the old LED's - you can tear the traces. Use the soldering iron to melt the solder and remove the old LED parts. The LED's will flex up off the board when you try desoldering one end, they will bend the LED legs on the attached side... this is weaker than the board, so no worry about damage. 5: when done, use some epoxy, nail polish, something to secure the LED's and seal it a bit from moisture - as well as hold the LED in place if you needed to use a wire to connect it. 6: I used 5 minute epoxy to put the lens back together. One layer to glue it, second layer to get any visible voids. Then a layer of clear silicone 2 to add a layer of waterproofing. I also used silicone to glue the gap between the trunk lid and the light housing to keep water farther away.
