Listening to the end credits song after what happened makes break down in tears. I scream like Peter Parker did when he lost captain Stacy in the first amazing Spiderman movie.

A forty year old man is in tears, but this is a very special and important episode. It taught me that death isn't always violent, but it will still hurt the living.

*I balled my eyes out when I was like 2. Mom didnt know why, so I took her hand and led her to the tv downstairs. We had one of those grey boxes so our tv was always set to channel 3.* *When she asked what channel it was on...the thing that made me so sad...I kept saying "fuhdee fuhdee" because I couldn't say "three".* *All these years later I can tell you Mom...it was this episode lol*

It's good that Swift immediately made some new friends and a new start. It's sad enough that the gnomes had to leave and give a tearful goodbye, having Swift just walk off sadly as the last thing on screen would have been equally sad.

What a strong and memorable ending to a show. I think it could have not leaned so heavily on the sadness of the parting, but on the joy of the time spent together; it also would have been nice if some gnomes, particularly their family, said their goodbyes to them. It's kind peculiar that their leaving was almost hidden, like they didn't want anyone to know. The ending with swift could have been a little different too, they made it feel kind of cheesy and silly, but that was par for the course with this series. Overall, what a great send off.

"Those terrible human shepherds, poisoning the meat!" - I mean, they were probably trying to stop the wolves from eating their sheep, and they succeeded. Maybe if David told them to not steal from from the humans, this wouldn't have happened; humans can't communicate with the animals, but the gnomes can.

Took quite a few episodes to look at David's kids. I'd been wanting to see them since basically episode one! It's nice to see David & Lisa as parents (though the fact that they always look like an old couple no matter their age is a little odd). On a side note, why can't Lisa simply be seen by the customers? It seems inconsistent on an episode to episode basis. Gnomes are allowed to be seen... except when they're not.

Haha, I love the fact that everyone looks to david for advice or help, and either his schemes are nonsensical (why did he need the hunter's help to steal Ivan's hat in the last episode?), or they're the most basic advice you could possibly give. Who wouldn't have thought of having a boat/raft to save those rabbits? Why did they need David to tell them that, pfft. Also, the twins are boys, but I seem to recall it was stated that twins were always one boy and one girl. Just an inconsistency I noticed.

I can see why this one is unpopular. -The Woodcutter was the one who caused Lisa to be put in danger; he didn't "save her life", he was fixing his the situation he himself caused by letting his cat roam wild. -David seems to really have screwed this guy over. Why give someone something you know will do them harm? -The Woodcutter is poor, his wife is therefore also poor. If he has kids, they'll grow up poor. Wishing for wealth was a wish for all the people who were close to him, so the "wish for everyone" moral pandering rings hollow. -HOW DID THE WOODSMAN GET STUCK IN "QUICKSAND"!? Has he never gone to town before? It just seemed like a forced way for him to lose a wish. -Finally, the Woodcutter and his wife seemed like good people, and yet this episode showed them in nothing but misery. Why not end it with him getting back to his wife, and saying they don't need wealth as long as they have each other (or something equally sappy)? At least that would be better than ending with the Woodcutter being robbed of his gold (by David), after being falsely imprisoned. Where's the happy end? Instead we get David gloating over how cool and right he is, and how stinky and dumb the poor woodsman is. Usually the goofy/silly writing is funny, but in this one, it just seems kind of mean.
