this would be better if you used a small bridge rectifier so it would work whichever way the train was sited on the DCC rails, or on DC. But doing so would also show red no matter which way the train was travelling. But good job anyway

Hi Gary, you did say if you was to buy these machines it would add to the cost, so were they freebies from Cricut and Anycube?

Hi Gary, great to see another episode my friend. Amazing as always and great use of technology and of course, in this day and age, much cheaper and more rewarding than shop bought. Looks fantastic and Tony’s roof technology is a thing of beauty too. Solid looking and very realistic.. Great to have some more quality entertainment from your good self.. All the best, Chris

Really nice looking three road shed. Might have to invest in one of those Cricut machines myself one day. It certainly makes it all your own work and not just an off the shelve job. Excellent job. Atb Graham 🙂

Interesting video not sure if you aware there is now a UHU glu for polystyrene called UHU POR if you have large panels to stick on the normal UHU can cause the plastic to warp over time

For some reason I thought the old layout was fully dismantled and broken up - glad to see it's still knocking around even if moribund. Two questions if you will: 1) what model of cricut did you use to be able to cut brick sheet (I'm guessing the thinner slaters/SEF stuff rather than Ratio?) and 2) maybe some vertical strips running down the front face of the shed atop the glazing might make it look more authentic?

Iv been doing a 4 road shed 1000mm long by hand.its victorian redbrick with 40 arched window bays. and I should have bought a cricut machine.they make things so much easier watching you do this.

So did you use the cricut to make the basic shape AND to cut the brick sheets? You didn't make it clear.

fun fact: until the late 80s, twin red lamps meant the train was either carrying a head of state (or household of), or was the back end of the Edinburgh-Glasgow Class 27 push-pull sets.

Apologies Garry, I've only just found your channel, but what curve radius are you running and have you encountered any problems with them? I'm looking to build something in a space that's a little smaller than what you've got, and stressing about minimum radius. I've also got a door to contend with, which i'm presuming isn't a problem in a shed where the door opens outwards?
@cheekytek
@cheekytek Ай бұрын
Hello Buddy the radius of my underneath running loop is only 3ft ( 90cm ) it is tight but I used flexi track to create the layout - My top tip for the 90cm return loop is to solder two pieces of flexi together and bend them around in a semi-circle fashion to get the turn - its what I have done and it works very well foe me- do a lot of testing once pinned in place and alter minor adjustments I ripped up the 12x8 shed build due to bad neighbours so now its all in the spare room of the house.. BEST OF LUCK Garry
