I’ve been Bath Electro-plating my machined brass custom scale model parts with Bright Nickel & Black Nickel plate. So plating 3D printed parts I’ve designed seemed like the next logical step. Looks like I just need the A/B painting step product & I’m GTG. 📍Thanks for a great video. I Luv & use Caswell’s stuff [My Black Nickel Solution I got from them- as well an excellent informative online book they produced showing all the DIY plating processes. As well as Aluminum Anodizing. Came in handy as reference material when I started Anodizing + Color Dye process to my machined Aluminum parts. As well as some of the Anodizing Dye they sell. ZenModeling

thanks for an great tutorial. One qustion, i have also tryed to electro plate on a 3D print, with conductive paint on, and with a brush, - but i couldtnt get the copper to attach. It seems like the surface on top become grey metalic, but not copper metalic. I used a more expensive pen, and with a good quality transformer attached, and the rod on the brush was copper wired, - so everything should be about right. Do you have any idea of what the reson could be to not be working ? regards Frank Fneriz DK

I'm sorry to ask you a question here three years after it was posted, but I'm asking you one because I think you're the only one who can give me a proper answer. I was using cov01(TX), 02(RX), and 05(controller) for CRANE2S like PT-head, and recently bought two additional cmf06 zoom and focus servo motors. The problem is that the two servo motors move simultaneously while turning the focus wheel of the remote controller cov05. Similarly, when the zoom button is pressed, it moves simultaneously. Of course, I set one to zoom and the other to focus. The ZYPLAY APP works properly, and the wheels of the gimbal work properly. Only the zoom/focus operation of the remote controller is a problem (and even the motor spins quickly) I'd appreciate it if you could let me know if there's anything I can help with even a little information.

I have a 3D printed horse (family heirloom). following your instructions, its now painted with the nickel paint, sanded, polished with fine steel wool and (I hope) ready for brush plating with the plug/plate copper kit. We’ll see how it turns out. Thanks for the great tips!

This could greatly increase the number and lifespan of tools made through 3d printing. I especially like the idea of replicating artifacts that were 3d printed discovered through archaeology.

Good video with some good tips that are still relevant today. But you definitely can go cheaper without buying a kit. Electroplating can be done with a couple of nine volt batteries and making the solution is cheap and easy. I'm sure that company's upcharge on the copper sulfate solution is insane.

Clearly doesn't work with Sony A7iii with the latest updates to the gimbal and app. Returning it. Switching to the DJI RS3.

10:33 it's not made out of metal, it's still a piece of plastic with a tiny exterior layer of metallic paint; if you used PLA that thing is fragile; unless you display it statically it won't stand real use (as a human head wearing the helmet, on and off, bumping into something, etc).

I admire your enthusiasm but this product is not worth buying it new or second hand. First of all balancing a Canon EOS R with a bigger lens is not possible because the space between the viewfinder and the Weebill lab is not big enough. I also tried several other lenses like a simple EFS 10 22 mm, Tamron 35 - 150 mm, the only one I was able to balance and the one where the viewfinder doesn't get stuck is the the nifty fifty 50 mm 1.8. An other problem is connecting the EOS R with the ZY play app and I also could not use a external power supply because again the space between the smartphone extension and the Weebill lab is to smal. I tried to turned my smartphone around bud then the software on the display on the phone is up side down and yes automatic rotation is on. My conclusion think twice and search KZbin before you buy a Weebill lab because I found out that their are other camera's with the same problems. Most of the comments are tree years old bud so far I don't see any answers from the manufacture Zhiyun. A compliment for your vids they are much better than this Weebill lab.

This super shield spray goes on so rough, very hard to sand without removing the layer! Any tips? Just layer on a lot?
