Peter Brook posted a video of all F1 drivers of all time, ranked by points as if every race had today's scoring. You know one driver who was very very close to the middle of the list? Lella Lombardi. To be exact, she was slightly above the middle. By about 10-20 positions or so.

To those laughing about the indy win: Ericksson is mid af in Indycar too, he just got a great seat because he was in f1, and is VERY good at Indy (plus had an amazing team for that car setup) Hes since lost that seat lol.

honestly, nobody should ever consider the indy 500 in F1 statistics. it's a whole completely different ruleset, different teams, different everything. it was just a gimmick to justify the Dirver's title being a world thing - which is much more than what the americans do for their baseball world series, at least

Well we've had 39 champions, 18 of whom had multiple titles. So it would have to be the second best one-time champion. Based on win total, that would be Damon Hill. I'm not sure if I'd agree with that on talent level, but that's what the data implies at a glance.
