Tips for cooking juicy chicken breast. Poke holes in chicken breast with fork. Soak chicken in water with 1 teaspoon of sugar and salt for about an hour. The longer it sits the more flavor it will absorb. Be careful how much salt you put as it can get a little salty. I like to use my gas grill when cooking my chicken but I’ve tried pan fried, steamed, and baked and all turned out great.

LMFAO sugar calorically dense. LMFAO. Please cite a macronutrient more calorically dilute. Hint: there isn't.

If your losing weight but still pretty obese, is the .75 grams per Lb. Still a good idea? Of what I’ve been tracking through MFP I’ve been getting between 130-150 grams a day, And I’ve lost 30 lb so far. Actually just broke a plateau since I went too low with calories. So im down from 350 to 319 and the calculation says I should be consuming 239 grams of protein? That just seems like a lot

But I do go to the gym 3-4 times a week with strength training and 20-30 minutes of cardio each session

I know they're not on the list, but I like using healthy oils in my cooking. I DO want to caution (and this is just my opinion) that you might be better off swapping out some kinds of "healthy" oil with a whole food item that contains a similar nutrient profile. For example, olive oil is considered to be healthy, but in my opinion, the fact that you aren't supposed to use it as massage oil due to it clogging up your pores tells me that it shouldn't be inside your body. I mean, if it's bad for the biggest organ of your body, imagine the havoc it would cause your other organs. Meanwhile, sesame seed oil can be used as a massage oil and, thus, it's okay to eat it. I hope that makes sense. Of course, I'm not saying that you shouldn't eat foods that naturally contain those so called "healthy" oils (such as olives). I just think you should be careful not to assume that something is meant to be eaten just because science says that it's "healthy" in whatever form (like oil) they used for the research.

Serious question: I am doing intermittent fasting (17 hours per day) and training early morning. I am working really hard to lose weight. The fasting means that I don’t eat until around 4 hours after my work out ends. Will the weight loss and muscle growth be affected by this?

I make my own beef tallow, lard, and schmaltz at home. Besides cooking with those oils, I cook with virgin coconut oil. I intermittent fast doing 16/8 (been doing so for many years now) and do all my own cooking at home with whole foods, eating a high protein diet. I eat eggs like crazy (great cheap source of protein) and can go through half a dozen to a dozen eggs a day. I also train hard, about 6 days a week, doing exercises for functional strength, mobility and flexibility, and muscle and cardiovascular endurance. Lost over over 20lbs in 8 weeks. At 5' 10", I went from being fat, lazy, and over weight at over 230lbs down to just under 210lbs, going back 3 belt notches, and getting leaner, stronger, and faster. Did I mention I was also a smoker for over 25 years and a weekend beer drinker? In my mid 40s and the last time I felt this good, physically and mentally, was back in my high school years into my early 20s where I was very active and athletic (though my diet then was eating whatever i wanted whenever I wanted). It can be done, folks. Get after it! 🤘
