Down the street from me a LARGE fire tree fell down and it's getting cut up. I assume going to be hauled away. I plan on doing this with my kids😊.

Have you ever not whip stitched the actual area so as to leave it to look frayed after repeated washings? So, the patch becomes more of an embellishment to the frayed overlay!

Hey jeanine . My name is Gareth and I have a new channel about being more self reliant and growing veg. I’m making a new video about growing radish for beginners. Iv used this recipe from your website myself now for a while and love it so much I would love to include it my video explaining what to do with radish when we grow too much and have a excess. With your permission of course!!!! I will obviously credit yourself and your website In the description and make some nice B-ROLL of me searching your website and recipe. Hope to hear back soon. Gareth

Thanks for this! I love the look of it. My boys keep ripping holes in their jeans and I’ve been meaning to repair them for a while. Now that fall is almost here it’s a more urgent task.

I’m trying to patch my work pants. Your video helped me a lot, but I don’t know how to tie a good knot. Worn my pants for a day and the stitches are all loose, idk if it’s because of a bad knot or bad sewing. First time seeing anything.

If you don't have all of this a simple needle thread & scrap will suffice. I'm definitely going to be picking up some of this I have been sewing without all of these tools for years. Just never really a patch usually always a seam or a tiny hole.

Could you just do the stitching around the exterior of the hole to keep the patch in place? Is it necessary to also secure the patch first (as you did)?

I don't think so. Once the hemp is soaked with some water, I use it to wash non-stick pots, pans, and even swipe my induction stove top. No scratches were made, unlike the commercial sponges :)
