Cool vid. Thanks for posting. I haven’t been on a job with a spider to see it used in person. How does the boom hydraulic speed compare to a bucket truck?
@PoplarMechanic
@PoplarMechanic 10 күн бұрын
@paulliebeck2640 it is a bit slower, but it isn't slow. I'm sure you can turn the rpm up a bit. Personally, I like it because you get to the 40-foot mark, and she spins fast enough lol

Thank you, brother. I save your videos and watch them before I go to work. I'm off most of the winter, so your videos are great reminders for me. Watching how-to videos is like attending a safety meeting. Staying safe is #1. Mr. Bill's Tree Service appreciates you sharing your knowledge.

I have an sg40 also. what I did was took two 1100 series stations 180° apart and use them so basically I'm like grinding off a four teeth I've shared off the bolts on the 900 series teeth a few times it works just fine the way it is now stumps in South Florida. oh yeah I've been hit in the shin by debris coming off that wheel tears to your eyes
@AuMechanic
@AuMechanic 29 күн бұрын
I always grind with shin pads, they are like cricket pads with with hard plastic, they cover from boot to above knee. You can get them from saw shops or online as they are used by yard guy that slash brush. Got them myself after a copped a stone to the shin off my stumper and ended in a lump for a few months that made it painful to do up my ski boot that winter.
