i grew up Catholic. My mom cried and asked me what she did wrong when i told her I am a pagan. I left at 18 and now at 24, it gets better. My husband is supportive of my faith and loves educating himself about it and i was blessed with a beautiful daughter at the begining of 2023. So to anyone out there in these situations. I promise it gets better, hang in there ❤

Thank you! I won't look for any heathen groups because so many times I've asked myself and the gods if Im over stepping due to the fact that Im not white. If this is the path for me and every time I get signs that I am on the right path. This video assures me that Im doing nothing wrong nor causing harm to no one with loving and honoring the gods. Thank you so much for this!

I messaged him a couple of years ago and he NEVER responded to my message. I truly do think he doesn't want to be associated with anyone who isn't white. I would ask him questions and never ever got a response from him so I blocked him. I do not respect him and all he is a mediocre charlatan who's only purpose is to live off his group.

This just made me realize that paganism is the ultimate “nerd’s religion.” I say this because hypothetically if someone was doom-scrolling and came across this content they’d probably think this amazing altar is just a Warhammer 40k set or something. Mark my words-in the next 10 years most people will know that paganism, heathenry, etc. aren’t dead and never were. Heilung is doing a great service for pagan and heathen religions…

I know that in my father's line some ancestor was abandoned on a church side, because of my surname, which is typically given to foundlings. I don't know how many generations back, but I know it happened.

Just joined the discord today, and look forward to introducing myself once the snooze is up. I'm exploring where I might be able to find community with similarly-minded people in Georgia, and seeing progressive pagans here is like being handed a gallon of water in the desert. Edit: I just got to "...from the animals that were our pets..." I lost a very special, one-of-a-kind cat at the end of September. She was my heart and soul. And the image of her being cared for now that came into my mind when you said that...someone released a whole freaking barrel of onion-cutting ninjas. I've had a spiritual relationship with death for many years. I knew Hel had death in her domain, but now after this strong emotional reaction, I'm going to look into her a lot more. Thank you. I (and maybe my partner too) absolutely will do my best to be at the next gathering, as long as we're welcome.

I had generally removed WoO from my social medias a while ago due to his strange attitude towards the AFA and his mythic literalism, but hearing about him slashing people open, pressuring people into blood sacrifice, and giving drugs and drinks to kids, I legitimately understand why everybody says they were saved from him, I am super grateful to be away from all that.

Im a pagan and have a question. What if you come across an individual and they are just a rude obnoxious asshole, and you chin check them for disrespecting your wife, kids, etc....then find out they are gay and try to use that as a tool to make you feel guilty. How does that apply to 127? I don't give a rats ass as to sexual orientation, skin color or the likes. I don't like rude disrespectful people no matter who they are or what they believe. As for hating people, I hate Trump and the maga ( sexual predators, rapist, child molesters etc..) does that or those disqualify me for any reason.

I’ll never forget the first time I met fenrir. His presence is just as large as he is but very very warm. As someone who has faced a lot of abuse in their life Fenrir helped me so much to regain my personal power and channel my righteous indignation to something positive. Fenrir is not well regarded in this faith so to see this ritual brings a tear to my eye. Beautiful.

_"May the spirits who are based and chill vibe among us"_ I remember that from one of the earlier videos, and still love that line. 😁 The spelling on the Jormungandr statue still pains me every time tho. 😬 Using the Anglo-Saxon NG rune, which is a single sound, when the N and G are supposed to be pronounced separately... I think the main reason so many balk at honoring Hel and her realm is the pervasiveness of Christian doctrine in society. Raised Catholic, it took me a long time to find my way back to the gods of my European ancestors. Even now I find it hard to shake the image of the Christian Hell, full to bursting with tortured souls, rather than Helheimr as an eternal life free from need and pain. With little mentioned in the Lore about some of the other afterlife realms, I find myself imagining Folkvangr as that place, that Freyja took up my loved ones who lived virtuously and offered them a seat in her hall. Having said that, though, I must recognize that even my own research points to Hel as the benevolent caretaker of my ancestors, and I've mainly delved into the Runes and their associations. Working with the Elder Futhark, I started with the known correspondences to the AEsir (Fehu, Thurisaz, Ansuz, Hagalaz, Naudiz, Isa, Sowilo, Tiwaz) and then worked through to match the remaining runes with a patron deity best exemplified with the meaning. On my own I wound up with Hel on Othila (ancestral home, inheritance, end of the long road.) But then I started reading Edred Thorsson's Futhark and found his association between Hel and Berkana (birth and life cycles, the web of ecology.) Whichever way I looked, I found her residing in positive, or at least not negative, symbols. I don't know if I'll ever be able to completely free myself from utangard influences, but my findings have helped greatly in that respect.

@@WolfTheRed Well, I got curious. If his wiki page is accurate, then he is involved with The Troth, which seems to be a Universalist kindred. While it is technically possible to be NS and also willing to extend inherently Aryan gods to other races without performing mental gymnastics, I have not yet seen that particular scenario play out. He might be conservative, but he's definitely not performing blots for Uncle Adie.
@WolfTheRed
@WolfTheRed 2 ай бұрын
@joskarifinaukr6503 he was involved in the troth in the 90s and was kicked out for being a nazi. If you actually read his wiki you would know that. Stephen Edred Flowers, commonly known as Stephen E. Flowers or his pen name Edred Thorsson, is an American runologist, university lecturer, and proponent of occultism, especially of Neo-Germanic paganism and Odinism. He helped establish the Germanic Neopagan movement in North America and has also been active in left-hand path occult organizations. He has over three dozen published books and hundreds of published papers and translations on a disparate range of subjects. Flowers has worked to promote the European New Right.[1][2] EUROPEAN NEW RIGHT?? HMMMMMM The European New Right (ENR) is a far-right movement which originated in France as the Nouvelle Droite in the late 1960s by Alain de Benoist. Its proponents are involved in a global "anti-structural revolt" against modernity and post-modernity, largely in the form of loosely connected intellectual communities striving to diffuse a similar philosophy within European societies.[1] ENR leaders are generally opposed to liberalism, individualism, egalitarianism, and the nation-state. Endorsing a communitarian and organicist worldview, they advocate the concept of ethnopluralism, which they describe as a global project opposed to multiculturalism where collective identities would coexist peacefully within separated geographical and political spaces.[2] They do not share, however, a standard and collective political agenda regarding the regime or institutions that should be adopted. Instead of seeking direct electoral results, ENR leaders promote their ideas via a common "metapolitical" practice of politics, in order to eventually achieve cultural hegemony and popular adhesion to their ideas.[3] YEAH SEEMS SUPER INCLUSIVE

A note about magickal rituals, runagaldar specifically. Reddening the runes you inscribe is part of the ritual, though it does not explicitly require blood. Natural dyes work, but using your blood to do so sends more of your soul and will into the runes to empower the vaett you create while doing so. Your example of the Egilssaga attestation is an example of a ritual done when dyes probably weren't at hand, so blood was used instead. There is a safe way to collect blood for runework in the modern age, by drawing it with a hypodermic needle. Safer and cleaner than a cut, and you don't need much to redden the runes, although a reddening tool should still be used. I'm not condoning any particular method, just reporting my findings so far.
@WolfTheRed

This is silly and not how magic or runes work. Don't use blood. Blood stays in the body. If you can't use magic without hurting yourself that says more about you than anything else.

💯 I remember reading that Mother Teresa often withheld pain medication from dying patients because she believed their suffering would bring them closer to God. I never questioned this growing up Catholic, that we needed to suffer to be closer to God. Looking at it now it’s so twisted and hurtful.

I started with Norse related stuff when I was 11. By 12 i was starting to get pulled hard down the alt right pipeline because of what was being taught and what was being preached in the circles I’ve fallen into. I was super weary and distanced from all things Norse-related and felt that I had to hide my interests in fear that people would assume the absolute worst of me, which would partially be true because of the amount of dogwhistles I was unknowingly carrying having no idea what they meant. Was an accidental signal to scumbags. I ended up growing up and embracing a lot of leftism and pulled myself out of that shitty environment. Now I ended up joining a group a few months ago who very much focus on combatting bigotry in Norse related circles. This channel was suggested to me by a member of the group, and so I’m here hopefully to figure out things again. So yeah. Thank you.
