Wow. Crazy. I wouldn't have caught onto most of this. "Folk" is a word old people use, I wouldn't have connected the dots. I also follow him, and didn't feel he was racist, maybe that's because I only recently got on. Thanks for the post. Also, I didn't realize there was a whole organization, I just thought it was him.

An updated video probably should be made. But it would have to include allegations of SA of a minor, more drugs at his events, drugs being done in shared spaces of minors, more cutting of people, people of color getting noose put around their heads, and of course him getting MORE in bed with racist and nazis like Survive the Jive and many more. All since my video came out. It would take another year to make another video just on what's gone on there before we even dive into how I was right that it was always a grift and he has no real theologocal views and flip flops often.

An updated video on Mr. Spurlock would be ideal. He seems to be pulling away from his organization, dropping the Norse pagan aspect now that it's losing popularity, and setting up his own odd business. It's an interesting cautionary tale.

I think tht is partly why i lost my job at Waffle House. Note tht, i had been working with the same ppl for yes and I explained my mjornir necklace to one of them. I forgot how we got on the topic. I had a mild seizure episode which cemented their cause. They def treated me diff after i did tht. I thought we were friends but i overstepped apparently.

I'm a Norse pagan and my daughter 10:54 goes to church almost Wednesday. That's fine with me. I respect her choices. I would never force my faith onto her. I simply explained it( as best I could) to her. Consent is key I agree. My son doesn't really go anywhere lol, but I'm here if they have questions. My mom however occasionally says "if I jus turn to 'god" wen I get upset etc. roll the eye roll. I don't tell her I have many gods. It would start unnecessary tension.

I completely condem any rasist, or bigot. I do not support any hate group. I think that every community has extremists. Including the lgbtqia+ and i dont support them either. I think everyone deserves to be themselves, but i dont think anyone should force their ideas on others. My dad is now transitioned, and i support that 100% I am however a conservative, and do endorse trump, rfk, tulsi gabard, vivek ramaswamy and jd vance. I personally believe more in their policies than kamalas. But i have run into the issue of other heathens comparing me to white supremacy or implying that if i hold conservative beliefs and heathen beliefs, that i am a white suppremist. It doesn't help that when talking about Charlottesville taking down Confederate statues, i personally hold the belief that taking down statues like that can lead to a slippery slope of revisionist history which our faith unfortunately has also fallen victim to. Again i cannot state this enough, i condem every and all hate groups, and that everyone should be able to live their life how they see fit. I say this all as a heads up to not let ourselves grow close minded, and to check our own beliefs and suppositions of others. I dont want other heathen conservatives to feel judged or pushed out by a community that gives me so much hope. Thanks if you took the time to read this

That really annoys you as a Germanic pagan from Germany. We try to distance ourselves from such people in Germany. Fascism did a lot of damage to paganism and in Germany, being a Germanic pagan quickly gets the Nazi stamp. because of people like that.

Thank you, I think I really needed to hear some of this. A big reason why I felt drawn to heathenry specifically was because I wanted a connection with my heritage that's not attached to the evangelical culture I was raised in, but the concept of ancestor veneration within heathenry has really been a big struggle for me because my ancestors did and my family has done a lot of things that don't match my very left wing values. Missionaries, people who settled on land stolen from natives, english aristocrats, people who worked for the CIA, people who collected stolen artifacts. Sometimes I just feel very ashamed of my heritage and want to run away from it. But if there's an afterlife and if my ancestors have had an eternity to heal, then I have meeting the better versions of them to look forward to.

I’m a follower of Hinduism & we also use similar materials in our rituals & ceremonies as seen in the video. At the same time, it also feels great to see that people in the West are worshipping the Gods & Goddess of their respective pantheon & honouring their ancestors using altars similar to what followers of Hinduism also do.

How could we possibly know ALL of our ancestors anyway. If you go back just 200 years in the past, more than 1000 different persons are your ancestors, imagine a thousand years! It's impossible to know who and where they were, their skin color and what religion they had.

Why does biases always seem to seep into religion. I'm leaving Christianity because I'm tired of it. Yes, discrimination and racism is wrong, in every way. However, when you disown, shame, or exclude individuals or groups because of their discriminatory views and policies; than you are doing to them what they're doing to minorities. That is what I can't condone. Two wrongs don't make a right.

You should never exclude anyone for any reason. If they have discriminatory views, it would help to talk to them and get to the root cause for why they feel that way and work towards changing their views for the benefit of all

Sure. That happens all the time with us. We have the largest and most active inclusive community that I'm aware of. And people come in all the time with views that are harmful and we try to calmly and politely help them understand how their views are not logical and need to change ect. But if they refuse they don't get to just stay. We can't just... let nazis hang out and hope they will maybe eventually one day be cured of their brain rot. That's not safe for the Community we have built. Community safety is more important than MAYBE saving some one who might not want to be saved. So yeah... we will gate keep on those terms always. That's just good community management. Edit: and to prove my point there ARE hundreds of people who came in the community with views that range from not so great to really really bad but we willing to reasonably work at them and wanted to be better people and are now great community members. We don't purity test. We give chances and hope for improvement. No one is 100% evil. But we also don't have to rehabilitate every person that doesn't like trans people who walk in our doors.
