May I ask what brand of Clive oil you use thanks

I found your video today because i have noticed the dreaded pine needles on one of my koi and being a relative novice was looking for an answer.I have had the fish for 3 years ,but when i look back i think there has been some tell tale signs.Like you i am saddened losing a fish ,i am not a fanatic,but enjoy a fish[koi]pond.Perhaps i should have gone to my local dealer for what would have seemed to be an insignificant question.You have made me realise how important or not an insignificant question could lead to.Sorry for your loss of a lovely fish and best wishes in the future.

Personally im not a fan of extensions, i love the challenge of changing a floorplan (fully understand not as cost effective for resale) but this caught my eye, intrigued.

I'm going through the same thing buy with a twist. It's my older fish suffering fin rot and ulcers. I'm glad I watched this video I thought it was just me especially after seeing what perfection they are at koi dealers. My wife said keeping koi is an old man's thing. I get now why old people have ponds. You need to be retired to keep them. I work shifts and it's hard to keep on top off it. :-😢

Wouldn't go with duck weed gets everywhere you should go for parrots feather will stay green all through winter and looks nice 👍

Took my two grandsons last year to get their own fish,there were all the colours of the rainbow to pick from .the youngest picked the dullest off white koi in the tank .but is the most active koi in the pond and is the first to feed .

If you don’t want to pay for expensive floating pond baskets, I use the same basket you are using and I put black swimming pool noodles around edge if your basket with cable ties or use pipe insulation if plants not to heavy then secure to side so they don’t wander off around pond - I found the black pool noodles Amazon or ebay

HaHa, good to watch Johnny, and could help the water..😊 🌱 👍🏼 although I think you would need ‘way’ more than you are putting in to help a pond of your size, to get the benefits you are hoping for. Not sure I would voluntarily add duck weed to my pond though. But I suppose big koi may keep it in check…. 🤞🏼👍🏼

Great way of holiday your baskets pal deffo look at water cress mate

Instead of the zip ties can you not drill a small hole into the side of the pond top..small screw into the hole..string or wire round the screw and into the basket. The problem with tying them down is what happens when you do a water change and the water level drops ? Duck weeds spreads like nothing else..need to keep it under control.

I did the exact same thing two months ago with the baskets, cable ties and everything 😂. I thought it would help the nitrate etc but the koi destroyed it within a matter of hours. My pond was a mess but the koi loved eating the water lettuce

Duck weed is a nightmare to get rid of once in the pond can spread like mad. Get some watercress from your local supermarket… costs about a quid and great for getting rid of nitrates, also would recommend floating plant baskets they are made from material and foam and perfect for plants and koi safe. Nice to see a positive vid too 😁

I would advise against dug weed mate, it'll probably spread like mad, Try water cress.

Sorry for all the comments but i just feel the foam will help you and also keep the fish safe they will be trying to mouth those pots to eat the lettuce could hurt them selves on the lip

Your koi will trash your lillies if you dont put big gravel in there that they cant move

I tried this last year safe to say it was great while it lasted the koi managed to get through it all

Hi Johnny in the jungle, thank you so much for posting this as I have a slight leak on my Proclear 55 which I noticed on Tuesday night. I removed it twice yesterday which is not easy due to working in confined spaces with jubilee clips and is one of the jobs I really don’t like doing but thankfully I did put isolator valves either side when I put it in after was advised too which stops me draining the pond down and getting wet so this is really helpful. I checked the inlet and outlet pipes and put on some Ptfe tape, put it back on and still leaked so removed it again, checked the fittings, made sure all were tight and put back on and watched from underneath this time as I turned the water on and saw that it was coming from where the quartz tube is located and not from the connections I belt and braced with the tape so before taking it off for the third time as it was working and was not tripping any electrics I decided to look on KZbin this morning and yours was the only video I could find and I believe I have the same issue you experienced. I had also kept my old quartz tube I replaced a few years ago and had the two black seals so if one is damaged I can replace so round 3 - it was this seal around the quartz so was able to replace it and tighten it back up and this has sorted the leak, all thanks to your video post so thank you my friend.
