@DaniilOmelianenko16 күн бұрын
@@rutterrealtygc ofcource no ... Any fool can replace a part and say they’ve fixed it. Figuring out the root cause of the problem and ensuring it doesn’t happen again (or at least reducing the chances of it) - that’s a real repair. "I replaced the ink in a pen - I fixed it - I’m a genius!"

So when you use the system do you have to turn it on and off? Could I possibly hook it up to a water timer?
@rutterrealtygc25 күн бұрын
You do not have to turn it on and off. You could hook it up to a water timer, but you probably want to incorporate a safety switch that will turn it off whenever your water supply is to low so your pump doesn’t burn up

Thanks for sharing this. I took my boat out yesterday and it went into limp mode (wouldn't rev past 2500 rpms under load). Got back to the dock find that my reservoir was dangerously low on oil despite having filled it recently. Pretty sure this is the culprit. I've also read that oil can leak out of the rubber fill assembly on the top of the reservoir. Have you experienced that?

I haven’t experienced that one yet. Hope you get it fixed!

Can I replace my timer box with a Leviton 1288 switch as I have solar hot water and I only need to turn the water heater on once a month. The switch looks like it switches powered between two outputs. I’d like to use the switch to also power a 220v outlet (to also be added) to handle like a 24amp or 16amp level 2 car charger.

How do I prevent the metal fuel tank from rusting? I live in a humid environment and it seems like storing with fuel would be better?
@rutterrealtygcАй бұрын
Sounds like a good question. Maybe leave the gas cap off to let the moisture escape and the fuel line disconnected/open? Someone left a comment on here about what they do, but I can’t remember what they did.

It’s already trash if it’s not working. What do you have to lose? There is risk in electrical shock, losing some time working on it, and a feeling of accomplishment though if you get it working, I’ll give you that!😉😂
@iansandersonАй бұрын
I would never use any aftermarket parts as done here. Your original parts lasted almost 200,000mi. Aftermarket parts will last maybe 20-30K if you’re lucky. Always use genuine parts on a job like this. You should not turn the bolts going through the strut clevis, only the nuts. Finally, wheel nut torque is 103Nm (76lb-ft), not 100lb-ft.

Please advise how you place the right spot for adjusting the sliding distance…
@rutterrealtygcАй бұрын
You don’t have to slide it all the way, but you can measure the distance of your slot and set your holes that far over from center of where you would be hanging your item. Hope that helps!
I run my big generator every 6 months or 1 time per year. But I did had gas stabilizer the first year. I only have my generator 3 years now. But I plan on running it every 3 months now. My small portable dual fuel generator I run at least every 3 months. Sometime every month, because I take it to work on house. I am getting a power station so I probably will use the small less, so I will have to remember to do maintenance runs on it. I would advise people to run their generators as often as possible because I do see some rust in my big generator tank, but maybe it just sediment from the tank or gas

Can you explain the rationale behind the 15 amp fuse? I'm doing mine now and wanna get it right. Not saying it's wrong, I just don't know the reason why it's right, you never said. Is it the logic that the motor is like 12 amp so 15 is the closest without going under?
@ACommenterOnYouTubeАй бұрын
How about just run it once per month for 30 days under load .... This way you dont have to prep it for storage PLUS if it sits for years and you need it, what if in the time its been stored and something went wrong ?? You go to use it and it does not work. This is why you just run it on a normal basis to keep it working
@rutterrealtygcАй бұрын
You could do that… if you want to run your generator every month. I let my generator sit for over two years and it cranked right up after storing it this way.👍 Do what works for you though!👍
