Hi, Do you think the 200W power supply is enough for the multi-head project? I was thinking for my future toolchanger project to use a 350W meanwell and maybe even 500W.

Do they offer a smooth build plate for it? Some items don’t look right with a textured build plate.

If they dont, 310x310 is a super common plate size. So you should be able to swap it with any other style PEI plate.

That extruder drive on the delta was an interesting way of doing it. I wonder how close to the ceiling it gets on a big print. :) I have a Nimble around here somewhere. Never did install it. At this point it's a collector's item. :) Looked like it was a lot of fun! Hey Ballistic! :)

@MrWaalkman4 күн бұрын
@@3DPrintSOS Watching a delta is fun, owning one on the other hand... But when they work, they are super cool. :) I definitely like the frame, as well as the linear rails. Deltas are weird to begin with, no need to have the frame adding variables into the mix. I wonder if the arms are custom made? Back in the day, we would buy hand-made arms that were matched to a few thousands in length. This helped in keeping your print dimensions accurate. Something that deltas tend to need help with. To quote Olive Oyl regarding the end effector, "It's laaarrrge". But there's bigger and faster parts than what I had. Duet3D has their Smart Effector which has a strain gauge made by etching tiny traces into the PCB (your effector platform). It worked great except that you had to keep the hotend heater off while probing the bed. This worked so much better than what the QIDI4 uses (basically a switch whose resistance plummets when it gets some pressure). I'm sure that I still have some of those, too. :)

how are the fumes? i know it has the filter but how effective is it?
@3DPrintSOS4 күн бұрын
That depends on the filament. This stuff wasn't noticeable to me at all. However, I have had some really stinky ABS in the past. So, I cant say. I did smell the PPS when I was printing but that could be the smell of a new heater too. That definitely had more of a scent when it was first powered on.
