Painted my shotgun Camouflage with rubber bands. Duck hunting shadow grass Camo shotgun

I decided to paint my old Remington 1100 I got for Christmas when I was 8 years old. It shoots great but was a little rusty. I used Ultra Flat Krylon spray paint and two packs of rubber bands of different sizes. I started with a light color as the base coat. Let it dry and put on rubber bands, then the next color and repeat process and finished with base coat color to get a shadow grass Camo. Good duck gun and deer gun.

Looks good! The only advice I would give would be to tape up the sensitive areas before painting like trigger, Front sight, Bolt.

Spray paint jobs wear off so easily, you really dont need any prep aside from a clean gun. Acetone can touch up areas not covered. The whole point of spray jobs it to quickly match the enivironment, and then easily remove for the next area.

What kind of paint was this exactly? That tan is perfect as well as the finish not being too flat or too glossy.

Not bad. I'd add a nylon bag(laundry bag) secured by rubber bands. Maybe sand/buff the pain so not in even. Just my 2¢ of thought.

Yeah it wears off pretty easily. I just throw more on it as needed. Its an old gun. I think I was 9 when I got it for Christmas. 40 years ago... I old as dirt! It still knocks them down though!

You should of slowed the video down to explain what you were doing & the Colors of each Paint that you sprayed on Nice Job though.

Since black is not a normal color in nature, I would have used deep woods earth instead of black, otherwise I generally like the overall look....probably would have used more rubber bands too. Hate that crappy loud music, would rather have had a voice over explanation of what you are doing and why. And Dude, use a paint respirator if you gonna paint indoors! You painting yer lungs!
