how do i knit left handed continental on the wrong side
@YarnCrafts4lefties
@YarnCrafts4lefties 16 сағат бұрын
@@AnnaRich-hu7ft the phrase "wrong side" simply refers to the side of the fabric which won't be seen when worn. You make the knit stitch exactly the same whether on the "right side" or "wrong" side.

Ummm, I think you need a manicure when doing these tutorials. The camera is so close to your hands.

@@PDXpamify thank you for the feedback. As someone who is primarily homebound due to agoraphobia (yes, I'm being real) and struggles with not mutilating my nail to the point of bleeding stubs I will do my best to improve my manicure. My intent in posting is to help people succeed in knitting. I greatly apologize if my hands interfere with your learning. Happy knitting.

Oh wow, you are back! You taught me how to knit a few years ago, I would be lost without your videos! I started to teach myself left handed naturally and then I couldnt break the habit. So you have been a lifesaver!

Question if you are following a pattern designed by a right handed person, when it asks me to do a C6B, should I be doing the inverse and making a C6F? Like we would do for a M1R and M1L?
@YarnCrafts4lefties
@YarnCrafts4lefties Ай бұрын
@@janinecaillier7412 only if you want to. If you leave it as a c6b it will simply create a mirror image of what a rightie does; which I personally like. Swapping only becomes critical in items like socks and sweaters etc, so you get a clean visual line in shoulder increases, gussets and such.

I’ve had these videos as my go to for the last 10yrs I think. Best videos for lefties! 🩷I keep putting socks down for years and then decide I wanna make socks and then it doesn’t go right when I get to the gusset. And then I find these videos again and it saves the day. Thank you for keeping these up!

It would be helpful to have a video for putting a lifeline in after you’ve knitted. I’m trying to figure out if I should put through the right leg of the stitch or the left leg, or maybe it doesn’t matter based on whether you knit left or right handed.

Thank you so much for this! Im a new knitter and was taught english style as a child. I also have had carpal tunnel so stopped my attempt to learn a few years ago. Ive started again with continental (alongside less typing at work) and this channel is everything! I finally worked out i was learning continental in the wrong hand and now i can learn it with less stress on my hands. I also see you are still posting videos! Thank you so much from a confused leftie who was always taught to do things right handed!!❤
