I am glad the series with Dani is continuing. She is so lovely! I have one room where everything gets dumped, the rest of the house is great. Every week I plan to tackle it, every week something happens. Illness, appointments, helping my elderly mum, playing taxi etc. This weekend will be the weekend...I hope! 😮😂

We just recently downsized, (boomers going into retirement). It really makes a huge difference thinking that you're giving your things new homes, instead of throwing stuff away.

Who has money for a hotel for the duration of cleaning out decades worth of accumulation?

The shelf should help with keeping the place nearer. And then you’re advertising to acquire more new stuff while prompting the boomer parents to eliminate the items they’re fond of and familiar with. Goofy.

I delayed watching, because I didn't want the series to end. Great surprise! More to come. Dani's series is becoming a close tie with April's mom's series in my book.

Great Job! I also bought a lot of stuff such as bodylotion etc. in the past. I just using it all up. Now I have e.g. only one bodylotion which I really enjoy using it.

I feel like watching the house you grew up in explains your talent at organization. I grew up with parents that gathered a lot of stuff (not to the point of hoarding but definitely more than average) and now, as a 26yo adult, I have a passion for organization and clean spaces in my house

Please don't dismiss or belittle your accomplishments, Tracy. Getting rid of those 2 trash bags, regardless of the contents, was a BIG DEAL! Bask in your success. success

Maybe don't label your parents. That might help. Also, don't act like you're the "rescuer" or that you know what's best for them, because really, do you?

I found that minimalist is the most freeing thing on earth, when you have so many things coming in and not going out 😳 your home will not be able to breathe and it will build up anxiety and stress in your home. Be Free of THINGS 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️ Once in Need are waiting for your things 🥰

Would it be a good idea to take the doors off the wardrobes? She seems to not mind having everything out to see and since the room is small and piles can hinder the doors from opening.. it might be best for her.

Some people call "decide later". Tracy calls "Great Unhoard". Just because she's not making a decision right now doesn't mean she will never make one.

I don't understand the part where she says that concrete can't handle heavy art. here in Brazil our walls are made of concrete and we hang our art normally. just need to make 2 or 3 holes if it's too big.

You give me inspiration to organise myself. I was wondering though which departments i should go with? * Homegoods (candles, lighters/matches, blankets, decorations, tape, etc) * Selfcare (shampoo, shower gel, nail care, medicine, etc) * Hobby's * Garden * Electronics (chargers, cables, batteries, etc) * Books * Bags & handbags * Clothes, dry rack, clothespins, extra sheets, extra towels, iron board, iron * Transportation (bike repair stuff, car windshield washer fluid, etc) * Toys * Boardgames * Tools * Cleaning (floor cleaner, window cleaning stuff, buckets, cloths & mops, etc)

April you are so kind and caring, you are so gentle in trying to persuade Dani to declutter. Watching this series makes me want to purge more and more. Having too much stuff clutters my mind. I will never be a minimalist, but I will never keep so many multiples of things that go bad or never get used. I want to always be striving to keep things clear so I can manage everything I own easier than I have in the past. Thanks for your inspiration, I don’t think you get the kudos and appreciation you deserve. ❤
