Let’s say I wanted to sort out the chests to have stacks of cobble stone or stacks of one type of item, do I need the merging filters? I also noticed that you didn’t show how the second chests work the ones directly above the bottom chests where you showed the 3 items merged I would assume that once the bottom is full it would fill up the second one in line with the hoppers? Like if I filtered the first chest to do cobble stone would it fill up the one above it ? I guess I’m asking if both chests share the same filter in the storage. I’m trying to do a massive storage but it will be mostly bulk and I’m trying to keep 1 item to a chest or preferably in 2-3 of the same row, I watched your other videos on smaller items but I’m basically trying to sort my entire storage lol
@OmLeduКүн бұрын
@@Zerffed To sort just 1 item no merging needed. So just 1 filter on the bottom for cobblestone will sort all the cobble into that vertical row. If the storage chests get full, items will start filling up the hoppers & other containers from the top ones. But the bottom ones would just skip those items like any filter would type of thing since there is nowhere for the items to go. Generally for bulk it's as you say; cobble in the 1st row then variants of cobble merged in the 2nd, stone in the 3rd & variants of stone in the 4th etc etc. For bulk I would have an open hopper instead of the bottom chest for like cobble, as a make shifter shulker loader. Could of course add auto loaders for any section but that will get massive very quickly. Could of course just load up the shulkers by hand, or have 15 chests just for cobble, or multiple cobble filters for different rows. All in all just plan for what you will needs! If you're wither mining and have millions of deepslate, definitely could use a shulker loader or like 20 chests just for deepslate. Or if you never use sandstone, then don't need to worry about it filling up, etc etc

Hey I love your videos as I started to play Minecraft to play with my son and you’ve taught me the most so I’m grateful but I have a question maybe you can help me with.. I saw a video talking about the end and they said that using shulker boxes and ended chest you can have upward of 10000 spaces for storage… is that true? Am I not understanding something? If so, How do they work?
@OmLedu2 күн бұрын
Ooo that's awesome!! It's so nice that we can play with family of all ages :D Glad I could help improve the experience! <3 Anywhoo, so end chests are player specific & have 27 slots. Shulkers take up 1 slot but have 27 available slots inside. So whatever player A puts inside an end chest will only be accessible to player A & from any end chest in the whole world. Shulker boxes are just a chest that can be picked up with the items still inside. So you could fill up 27 shulkers with 27 stacks of items each & put them allllll into an end chest. Then you could pull those shulkers out of aaaaany other end chest on the map. Super duper helpful for both transportation & storage, but also to keep things safe! Going somewhere dangerous? Dump everything into an end chest & bring an end chest with you. If you die you'll only lose the end chest, but can also place it down and grab some stuff out of it whenever you need to.

Can you turn the chests sideways?
@OmLedu2 күн бұрын

I have a question: if I wanted to make a corner next to the first in order to create a square magazine, the hoppers following the first corner I have to place them on the right or left side of the chests
@OmLedu2 күн бұрын
Doesn't actually matter, Just have the connecting (corner) hoppers at the bottom going into a dropper elevator. So just repeat what we did after the 1st corner. The only reason the 1st section is flipped is to make it easier to change where the input is. Functionally, it all is the same. Only important part is to link the connecting hoppers to the dropper lines, not up high. Items do need to go through the droppers before entering the sorting hopper lines. Oh & you don't actually need any redstone on the corners. So can ignore redstone for the connecting hoppers that are down at the bottom. I did that just as a "better safe than sorry" but have since tested it enough to say that it isn't necessary.
@joejordaan85892 күн бұрын
How do I fix it if I broke it , I don't even know how I broke it
@OmLedu2 күн бұрын
Depends on what is broken lolz FAQ - Common mistakes Items don't go past the 1st dropper- Look at the clock and back rows; If the clock isn't turning on & off then the clock is wrong. If the clock is turning on & off but the back rows are off. Then the clock's torch isn't connected to the rows. If the clock is turning on & off, but part of or all of the back rows are just 'on' & never turning off: The back rows can NOT be connected by repeaters & dust. Either or, but not both. 14:18 dust IF the rows are short enough to be powered 14:28 repeaters & NO dust IF the rows are too long to be powered from the torch. Items consecutively skip random chests - 15:46 There can be NO overlapping signals powering the back rows, NO extra repeaters. If using more than 14 chests in horizontal rows, the rows MUST be sliced into individual sections powered by singular repeaters. If items skip all chests then the clock is not set to a 5 tick delay. 1 max repeater 1 repeater no delay.

how would you go about extending the duration the piston door is open with a button with the 2x2 flush door? i can’t figure it out for the life of me
@OmLedu2 күн бұрын
You just stick an extender between the activation of the door & the button. So at 2:00 it shows the extender, just 2 comparators. (can add comparators to increase the extension) Then look & see where the button connects to the door's redstone and insert the extender right there. If the button is directly connected to the door's redstone you can still add an extender right there. Just like... merged with the existing redstone <.< So, the dust that the button activates, add 2 comparators connected to that dust going opposite directions, a block comming out of 1 of the comparators and dust next to that block going into the 2nd comparator.
