Can I hook up bulk storage into this design
@OmLedu2 ай бұрын
yes and no. Depending on what you mean by bulk storage; you can add shulker loaders or standard filters between the MISS and the Non-stackable filters. MISS sorters are more for various low quantity items. (although people do use them for having 10 chests of cobble) But for bulk storage of any kind it's always best to use regular filters before or after the MISS. Some prefer after so that there is no bottleneck in speed, but I prefer before to increase the overall sorting speed & lessen the time that the MISS sits there clicking. I've been meaning to make a more comprehensive build tutorial using loaders, filters and a MISS at the end. So hopfully I'll get to that soon.
@brandonsweeney81692 ай бұрын
You are absolutely amazing for actually responding. I was just wanting to add some bulk single item filters for things like cobble, deepslate and what not. The things I get stacks on stacks of but find myself using them in bulk as well. Is this lossless and/or silent?
@goldfitter13 ай бұрын
You can put a different amounth of items inside the hoppers that are facing each other at the redstone block so you can adjust that to be 100 % lossless. Its not "silent" the droppers make a little ticking sound. And ofc the pistons makes more sound but only twice. (When it turnes on/off) so allmost "silent" 😊
@OmLedu3 ай бұрын

@@alexandersullivan41 okay, if all that works then its the back rows. @OmLedu3 ай бұрын
Essentially yes, within simulation distance. Here is the expandable guide kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKvYip-GlLSLr6Msi=abWk1gyP_QIASt43 But tbh if you want more than 60 chests, then you're planning on using like 10 chests just for cobblestone. In which case it would be cheaper and better to add filters between the unloader and the MISS, to filter out your common items. At 8:30 we place 3-4 hoppers, then we build non-stackable filters on those hoppers. So to add stackable item filters, just add more than 4 hoppers right there (8:30) & build everything else the same. Then in that gap created by the additional hoppers, add filters for whatever common items you want. 1 for cobble, 1 for dirt, etc etc. Or just go nuts!! Lots of ppl have built this MISS with 100+ chests lol
@marvinramirez85532 ай бұрын
Is there a way so you dont have to have one item in every slot?
@OmLedu2 ай бұрын
Not for a slot sorter. You can use regular filters (1 item per filter cell) Stacking them on top of each other would allow you to sort/merge multiple items into a single chest. Aside from those there are also binary sorters & 'categorizers' Binary sorters are complex logistical redstone. Categorizers are pretty bad but allow the sorting of multiple items into single chests without any limitations. The main 'bad' parts are that they use a minecart to deliver less than 1 stack of an item per transfer. So not only are they incredibly slow, but they are also more laggy, & can't be easily merged with other types of storage. Standard filters are really the way to go for commonly used items.
@tarond57Ай бұрын
Is the shulker unloader tilable?
@OmLeduАй бұрын
@@tarond57 Not as it is since we used dust. But even if it was tileable you would need a faster item line and faster sorters for that to affect anything.
