Just back from france myself. Everything in the video is spot on.. One thing I will say is not to panic too much over bait if you run out. Plenty of good tackle shops and some fisheries you can pre order your bait and it will be waiting for you when you arrive.. But delighted to have smashed my pb carp with a 28lb mirror..

I am French and I can tell you that the federal fishing in France it is very complicated a simple card for federal body of water in a chosen association it is 78€ the federal card to fish in all of France only in body of water federal c is 100€ and even with the card at 100€ there are still bodies of water where you would have to pay again to add the fishing rights to your card etc etc. after there are the communal water bodies, the card costs around €30, you would then have a cardboard card with often very limited regulations. in short did not come to fish in France it sucks 😂😂

No :) sea fishing is the only kind that doesn't need a license in the UK. The only condition is that fish cannot be sold on.
