I am a straight and in player. I basically only aim at the 2nd arrow from the right and stand at either 3rd or middle dot. I face a lot of corner pins at times and cannot understand why unless I try to get better ball motion, but to get better ball motion, I have to go out of my comfort zone.

I went to a bowling alley that changes patterns every 2 weeks, it was the first time that I actually played on a professional patter other than a house shot and only once a sports shot. I think someone said it was USBC Senior Masters or something 41ft pattern. I struggled to even go above 150, I changed my bowling balls and angles many times. I even used the Purple hammer and I had to play right on the gutter and I don't understand how it didn't hook as much. I shall take this video more into account when playing.

woow! I just started to bowling like a 5 months ago, and now I'm starting to hook my ball, but I'm having problems with my release and wrist, with this video I noticed that maybe I'm lifting the ball at the end of my release to create this motion of putting the hand behind the ball as much as possible, that helped me to star to making a hook, but! the big problem with that is now the wrist and fingers pain is killing me, because I have in my mind the idea of cupping my wrist to have my hand behind the ball. Next time I will try to cup the wrist at the highests point of the swing

My question is why lift up on the ball right before the release? The cupping of the ball should occur at the apex of the swing where the ball is weightless then then with a slight elbow bend continue to the release point where you then uncoil the release for maximum revs.

Very good video, i had the same problem the last time bowling. Started with the Black Pearl U78 D and it hooked too much. Then went to the Effect and it burned too much energy and missed the pocket. So ball down to the Artic Vibe and stuck for a while. Later when leaving corner pins finished with the Anger resulting with a 679.

Thank you very very much to teach the modern bowling form! I have been trying to force my elbow to bend but I can't find good teaching material to teach proper bending of the elbow. Your videos really taught me how to bend my elbows to create rev and I don't have to cup the ball all the time but only at the release point! I have always used the wrong way and your videos really taught me everything I need to know!

This video was so helpful and honestly, most of the things you did in this video, i did this past Monday while subbing in a league. I couldn't swing the ball to the pocket so, i had to move back over to the right and throw somewhat of a straighter angle to the pocket. Also, the call out titles effects on the lanes helps. Can't wait to see the next video.

Wow Ive been trying to figure the yoyo motion out for so long and was trapped in the pendulum swing mindset, so no stopping in the swing at all. When I watched this vid and it told me to stop my swing at release I was like nah that can't be how it's done cause obviously kills the momentum, but when I thought more about it, if your shoulder stops but your elbow is relaxed the ball is basically still swinging in that moment, and that's when I think it clicked for me. When I stop my shoulder at release, the momentum will still carry the ball forward but it will also help your wrist get under the ball, if the motion is fast enough, the ball speed won't be decreasing a lot and you can get a lot more revs without using your own strength to force your hand behind the ball, making it a more relaxed swing as a whole. Before this I was thinking the way to do it is the pendulum of was only until the release, and at the release you have to use strength to get under the ball, but was wasn't necessary at all. So thanks for the video, this helped solve a problem that I've had for years.
@AnoobisObi2 ай бұрын
Damn I'm trying this on my bed and I feel my ball speed might even increase along with revs, my swing feels so relaxed and the speed that it came off my hands is so fast while my hands being like completely under the ball
@janproshopchannel2 ай бұрын
@@AnoobisObi Correct, if motion is quick the speed won’t drop by a lot.

Bean bag is a terrific idea teach you roll ball down onto the lane not up onto the lane! Releasing the ball into a chair or couch teaches the opposite i found out. At the start of this video seems your confusing axis tilt and axis rotation saying want higher tilt your referring to axis rotation not axis tilt. you want to change your axis rotation which is the amount of side rotation the ball has to make it hook less or harder your axis tilt should be minimal only want high tilt for dry lanes or really chewed up lane's!
