Happy to say that your lessons are making a difference for me due to the simplicity, visual clarity, and your right to-the-point directions. Thanks to your previous classes I only half missed one question correlating with a weak link my game. Speed control. As I loosen up and relax with the competition, my ball speed increases unintentionally and my release improves enough to where my game begins to struggle. It feels good to be throwing the ball better but huts to keep getting pocket-hit-splits and other pocket-hit disappointments. I change balls with some results and then remember to adjust my ball speed. By the last couple of games I consistently throw 30 to 60 pins better. Thanks to you I now realize I need to practice a ball speed drill to learn how to use that tool more skillfully. Thank you for all your great instruction videos. Rare when a teacher says so much with so few words. 🙏

Super useful tips. The before and after at the end was nice to see.

Can you do a video on playing left side of lane 4th to 5th arrows. I finally learned how to release the ball as you have thought but I'm struggling trying to play left

Have you done a video on how to get more or less ball speed to balance out the improved revolution rate you have been showing us? If not, could you do one? I find your videos to be much more clear and understandable than any others. Thank you!

My thanks for the interesting video. Question regarding question 4. In it you indicate that a small adjustment to ball speed should be the solution. Does this refer to an increase or decrease in ball speed?
@janproshopchannel11 ай бұрын
If it hits pocket light, lower the speed If it hits pocket high, increase the speed Just experiment these adjustments: Pin7 - speed up Pin8 - speed down Pin9 - speed up Pin10 - speed down

Thanks again for the great info. Perfect for league play practice before game. Do you target arrows or breakpoint? I’m going to play around with my targeting at practice today.
@janproshopchannel11 ай бұрын
I target arrow because breakpoint is always changing as games continue. Prefer to target arrow to shoot and then observe my breakpoint after each shot. Hope it helps!

@@janproshopchannel I just got back into bowling this year after a 10++ year hiatus. Things are a lot different, so I’m trying to get into the groove. Your channel has been a big help. 👍🏾

I don't know... whenever I adjust speed I have to adjust my target & angle a bit. If the ball is snapping off of the breakpoint, I am moving right (for RH bowler) and increasing my speed.

Parallel the line with your approach. Stop walking straight and throwing right. You’re welcome.
@janproshopchannel11 ай бұрын
Thanks for pointing out this!! Instead of stopping it I am actually polishing it. Approach and launching angle are relative, so I was actually walking left and throwing straight (literally equivalent to what you pointed out). Usually my launching approach is 7 boards left to my standing position, such that my shooting hand will be at the same board with my eyes in the beginning. It facilitates targeting but more than 7 boards is considered undesirable for myself. Even that said, I am working on narrowing down this to improve ball speed because this deviation will cause ball speed slowing down, where your body is not 100% aligned with ball’s skidding motion.

When I see my ball snap off the end of the pattern my first move is always left and if it's still hard to control I will hit the ball with a lower surface and try to get it to smooth out if that doesn't work then it's a ball change
@pianimeplayeranimeonpiano515311 ай бұрын
What do you do once competition starts and you can't alter surface at that point?
@ObjectiveEthics11 ай бұрын
@@pianimeplayeranimeonpiano5153 That's the same question I had as well. For me I go to a Hybrid or Solid depending on how violent my Pearl is reacting. Of course I try moving left with my Pearl before I change balls.
@s1l3nc3r311 ай бұрын
@@ObjectiveEthics This is the type of ball change I make, I currently go to my Hybrid over my Preferred Solid (Verge Solid) cause I have it drilled pin down. It just doesn't make the corner when throwing 5th and 6th arrow. But my RTS X3 does, my Phase II will make it as well, but I rarely travel with that ball outside of tournaments.

@@s1l3nc3r3 I'm not quite ready for tournaments yet. I just started bowling a year ago. Got my average up to 180 pretty quick with several 200 games but then I injured my elbow at that has been a long slow recovery. My new season starts next Tuesday and my elbow is at about 90% so I'm hoping to get my average to at least 170's.
