On the Warmoth website, when you are building a body they have an option to move the neck pickup route for the 24 fret necks, guitar fetish doesn’t have the option, so the Warmoth neck worked just fine with the tele HH body from guitar fetish? I hope so because I want to build something very similar

It’s in the video there Bud

@@NickHillMakesMusic I’ve watched it 3 times now, bud. I’m not talking about the neck pocket fitting. I’m asking about the neck pickup, but I suppose my question should be asked to Warmoth since that’s where my confusion lies. I figured I’d ask you specifically since I was planning on going that similar route, but you didn’t feel like answering my question which is unfortunate

The neck pup is in. Like in the video. It’s wired up. Like in the video. Same in the blue build I mention which is also a Warmoth neck and GF body. I certainly would have mentioned if I needed to route anything out. Apologies for not regurgitating the white paper on the construction and design of the build. You seem inquisitive, I’m certain you’ll figure it out. Thanks for feeding the algorithm for me. Have a great 2025
@sleepmachine7522Күн бұрын
@ yeah I figured as much was just trying to clarify. And no problem, your 2 videos are what inspired me to do the build. Just don’t know why you have such a bad attitude.

Is there any reason why you would use the Stomp’s “Send” to the Power Amp and not the 2nd output on top? Is it about keeping that free for Stereo options or something?

Line 6 should write you a check, this video alone got me into thinking of getting the Stomp XL. I put some chainsaw in my tone for my band as a little homage to how much I love Swedish death metal but try to not rip it off too much. Dialing it in like this is exactly what I'm looking to do to replace my pedalboard. Awesome, awesome tones.

Hey...guitars and guitar players are like snowflakes. No 2 are alike. Its all about the individuals playing the guitar and their level of technique...if "YOU" like the guitar, then thats all that matters.

Your video resume all that really matters. There is a lot of KZbin channels trying to convince us that Helix is old and don't compare to the new QC and FM9, but you words makes a lot more sense to me. I'm happy with my Helix and don't see any need to change.

Is it ok to use the full amp model into the power stage? I heard somewhere to use the preamp. Is the only use for the pre amp models for the 4 cable method?
@NickHillMakesMusicАй бұрын
I've never NOT uses the full amp. A power stage has no "tube power section." It's just clean gain so you'll want every bit of the emulation the model has to offer.

The biggest issue I have with cheap instruments is that some factories don’t pay/treat their employees well. And also a lot of them use wood that isn’t sustainably harvested. Now this applies to some American and European makers too, but usually there are stricter regulations to control those things. But in terms of quality, some of them are really good for very little money. Often surpasses US or EU made instruments that are two or even three times the money.

Bro, read that damn manual up and down. Learn how ever parameter affects the tonal response. Sit, listen, compare. Use critical listening. Practice patience. Compare how amps in yours sounds to others. Learn METHODS and TECHNIQUES. Apply real world tone shaping (think real amps and real cans and real microphones). Take the time. Learn your gear. That’s all any one of these KZbin dorks like me are doing and how can easily do the same. If you got a GT1000? Screw it, BE the GT1000 guy. Just give it a try.

So if your audio interface only has 2 inputs (just like yours, the Motu M4, the Audient Id24 etc.) you run out of audio interface inputs and if you want to record other instruments/mics, your only option is to have an audio interface with more inputs. Am I right?

I bought into the whole Line6 thing some, what?, 15 years ago: JTV Variaxes, a floor unit (HD500) and an FR/FR amp. It seemed like a no-brainer, because it was. Using a CAT5 cable between the Variax and the floor unit, I could easily switch not just between amps and FX but between guitars and guitar tunings. Jump ahead 15 years and neither one of my Variaxes have working digital circuitry - only the traditional mag pickups work. And I don't know that anyone would even attempt to repair them. Meanwhile Line6 seems to have gone into a creative hibernation. They keep repackaging the same old IP, as if all their DSP engineers quit years ago, and all that's left is the marketing department. As if they gave up. (Granted, it's been many years since I checked for new firmware for any of my Line6 products - maybe they keep improving their software at a regular pace. But still, it's the same 15 year old hardware). And this, in my opinion, has always been a problem with products that try to straddle both the physical and the digital realms. The physical part of the product inevitably will suffer "digital rot", with no way of upgrading. And sooner or later the vendor will quit updating the software side of it. My Les Paul, built in 1977, will outlive me. But Line6 products I bought 15 years ago haven't been usable in years. And it might have stung a little less if Line6 had put out new and improved guitars. But nope, no cigar. I'm by no means a luddite, I'm an early adopter. But I try to keep everything in software that runs on regular laptops. The pace of the digital evolution is a poor match for the physical world. Native Instruments KORE2 seemed like a great product, until they completely abandoned it a few short years later. (I still haven't forgiven NI for that). Of course, to each their own. Just my two cents.
@NickHillMakesMusic2 ай бұрын
Oh yeah man, they gave up on this Variaxs years and years ago and I simply think because there weren’t enough folks like you, adopting and giving the tech a shot. It’s simple business. Unfortunate for the variax and valve-tone adopters. They’ve done nothing but cram free update after update into the HX line of stuff so it’s safe to say they know what they have with that. I myself was also apprehensive if the variax guitars and never even gave it a shot so I think that speaks to it as someone (myself) who’s loved their stuff.

Bro I still use my HX stomp with a few pedals like, all the time for playing at home, worship gigs, cover band gigs. I use it direct, with an amp or an frfr. I’ve been enticed at times with other modelers, but the flexibility, routing options and ease of use, along with Line 6 constantly updating their firmware, I just don’t have a need to make a switch.
