It was 288, had the ford tech with me with the laptop hooked up. It never has set a code for it. He is going to replace the oil cooler but still wasn’t sure it would fix the extreme loss of power at the top of the mountain. Pulling 7000lbs and will max out at 29mph on a 7%grade.

@@38vsix 288 is extremely high so the cooler must be plugged. It was likely derating because of that temperature.

@@doctor41baller no steering remained same as with the long bed before. I did have to add the traction bars tho to help with keeping it straight. Especially with the added power but even when the engine was stock it still needed the bars. Def would recommend them

@paulsperformance may look into that then. I was going to see about tightening up on the steering box if I can get to it, see if it helps. Just don't want to over compensate on steering if I need to react quickly. Thanks for the reply!

@@doctor41baller yeah it could have a worm out box but fords tend to have a little play in them. Not a lot though. May be time for rebuild or a new box.

Not sure about the transmission but everything else should be the same or very close

Not sure what you’re referring to? For oil cooler this one has a PPE high flow. Are you talking about the radiator brackets or the coolant filter kit?

Yeah it takes a second to start up. This 110v charger does about 5mph and is really only for emergency since it’s so slow.

It’s still holding up nicely. As far as operation it utilizes the factory switches so no troubles there. All the stitching still looks great as well.

@@Ihatwpwrsona5 nothing major. I’ve changed wheel covers few times. Only other kinda in depth mod was wrapping all the trim black and replacing the badges with black badges. I had planned on lowering it but haven’t gotten to it yet.

The diesel site is a good choice for these early model pumps. The 05-07 pumps hardly ever fail though. An oem replacement would be fine on those. Unfortunately you can’t put that pump on the early 6.0s without major swaps (rear engine cover coming off)
