I drank tap water by mistake and was ok. Probably just lucky. By contrast I have gotten sick in Mexico every time even avoiding the water.

Hi Tucker family, you are watched in Croatia!! I plan to go late January -Mid February to Floripa ( past year i did same amount in SP/RJ). Few questions How much is gym and Muayi Thai monthly fee if you know by any chance? You got very good deal for apartment (compared what i see now trough airbnb) what search engine have you used? Is tap water safe to drink? Whoukd you say that area around Lagona do Conceciao is best if you want mix of nature, night lufe and beaches? I know some basics of Portuguese, but how good will English serve me there? Thank you in advance

Any suggestions on where to invest in a property that will be easy to rent in Floripa?
@americaninbrasil18 күн бұрын
I think in terms of ROI ingleses, canasvieras would be great. You can get an apartment near the beach for relatively cheap (compared to other areas of the island) and those 4 months of summer will be fully occupied unless you do something horribly wrong

Not so scary .I actually swam in those waters in the day . Full of piranas and cross. They only bite you if you step in them. I guess they have plenty of fish to eat. The only reason I went swimming is because I saw some local kids swimming. At night we did the boat trip too with a flash light . Hundreds of red eyes looking back

My husband and I have been visiting Florianopolis since 2006, and we've witnessed the traffic issues escalate over the years. While we're back here again this year with other family members, and I absolutely love it, relocating isn't a viable option for us. We adore Brazil, but the rise in violence is concerning. Having previously lived in London, we've found that Portugal offers a quieter, more affordable lifestyle, along with a notably lower level of violence. It's a trade-off, but one that aligns better with our current priorities. Good luck

We are very close to Tijuana Mexico we looked on the US Embassy website the appointments are booked a year out. My son needs to go back to the US for work. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get an appointment sooner? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm planning on coming to the US in September, but since my partner is in the US he will need to sign a travel consent form. Have you guys ever need to do that? If yes, how was the process? I’m so confused with the documents and the process, don’t know where to start! Thank you! Ps: I love your videos & family

nice video. my wife and i are in the same position of wanting to rent. as i come from the financial sector of corporate america, i would much rather use the cred pago and count that as part of my monthly expense rather than have 2-3x rent handcuffed for a whole year that i could either have invested or use for other immediate expenses. your experience of needing to know the contract better and securing a price for future exit repairs, like the painting, was good info also. btw, thats not Formica, looks more like particle board, very susceptible to water damage. Formica is a very strong/durable laminate usually used for countertops.

Thanks for the help. My son was born in the Philippines and I didn’t make it to my wife before my son’s birth. So, the hospital never put my name on to his birth certificate (which is bull). We went to the government for help and they won’t let me sign it either. We got a lawyer recently and they were shocked they won’t let me sign my son’s birth certificate. So headed to the Philippines again in a few months to make things right. Hopefully by next year I’ll have my wife and son living under the same roof as me. Be praying for us that no more lies happen and that the consolar will make my wife and son American’s quickly. Thanks a lot for your prayers those who read this.

What methods did you use to learn portuguese? I have just been using duolingo.
@americaninbrasil2 ай бұрын
I read and listened to a lot of Portuguese. I started by reading children's books and listening to repetitive conversations and then I started watching shows and youtube videos from Brazil. I still listen or read about an hour a day to Portuguese content. The journey is long but I would say watching Brazilian shows and listening to Brazilian music were two of the biggest things that allowed me to improve the most. You will learn so many phrases and intracacies of the language that way.

It shouldn't be free to foreigners who don't pay taxes in Brazil nor have never contributed a dime to SUS. It's a foolish clause in the Brazilian Constitution and it may cause an unwanted and inmoral free medical tourism where freeloaders from the US, Canada, Australia, Europe, etc could come to take advantage without paying nothing. By the way, it's paid by all Brazilians via lots of taxes. As you say in the US: " There is no free lunch".
