Impressive the pusher idea should achieve a better forward speed in airplane mode so if I understand correctly 4- passengers means no pilot on board. ? Good looking design looks like comfortable size . Wishing them best of luck and success.

It’s very easy to build a nice looking shiny non-flying mock-up and to pay someone to create cgi video of it flying . It’s another thing to actually get the aircraft flying in real life. Talking about mass production without a working prototype is putting the cart before the horse. At this point it mostly just looks like an investment scam. JOBY is already flying an eVTOL with real live humans aboard and has clocked 33,000 miles of flight. JOBY will own the sector for a minimum of 2 to 3 years once they launch service in late 2025.

Too many moving parts = increases the chances of failures. Two large rotors that can rotate might be a better option.

not a terrible design but it's fairly complex and big and wont be a massive revolution over a traditional helicopter. A simpler single seater would. 2 rotor on tilt wings

It's a beautiful EVTOL. There are challenges with these type of flip flop rotors also they have lower reliability due to the mechanism. IMHO it's better to keep some props fixed up and one fixed in thrust like conventional NASA model

Do some homework guys. Archer and joby have already delivered pre-production aircraft’s to the US military for testing. Both are in final phases of certification. Aviation Is a race with other countries that the US does not want to lose. End of 2025 you’ll see them in the sky in major US cities. Autonomy won’t come till Later.

a tiltrotor design is best suited for an eVTOL aircraft . . . for e.g. the ship-borne MV-22E Sea Osprey multi mission tiltrotor . . . by principle it's two turbo-prop engines on either end of a pair of high set short lateral stub wings criss crossing the longitudinal fuselage at right angles . . . the turbo-prop engine swivels (tilt) longitudinally, full 180° deg for forward flight . . . in stationary hover mode the turbo-prop engines of the MV-22E swivel back into it's vertical (perpendicular) position during take off & landing . . . a tiltrotor eVTOL follows the same principle . . . incase of an eVTOL it's two prop driven electric motors on either end of two stub wings . . . 36.35 kN - 54.69 of pure e-power & an endurance of 200 miles (434 kms) . . . so many propeller driven motors makes you wonder that the Supernal has just enough grunt to fly . . . but not more, which is why the additional prop driven electric motors . . . the more than usual number of propeller provides more lift that compensates for the modest power output of the e-VTOL prop driven electric motors . . . which might not be enough for a full flight e.i. from take off to sustained flight to landing . . .

Not saying that couldn’t happen but I’m sure that is a possibility they recognize and are planning to mitigate through various technologies. Think of all the way that traditional aircraft can and do fail. They are still much safer than driving.

The reason companies are developing these, for cities in particular, is low noise and zero in flight emissions. Check out Joby. They are very deep into development. Their craft is extremely quiet compared to helicopters.

They are getting better and better. As they do, these will improve. Solid state batteries are well into development. Also check out Joby, in addition to battery powered flight they are also developing hydrogen powered aircraft.
@sladehelicoptersgaming3148
@sladehelicoptersgaming3148 3 ай бұрын
@@dhsajdak so hydrogen is not a good fuel it currently needs 2 units of energy in to get 1 out , and as for batteries I hope you are right but I will wait till they work . Lots of private jet owners are now using SAF and E fuels which are carbon natural and I think much better options along with new engines and airframes
@dhsajdak
@dhsajdak 3 ай бұрын
@@sladehelicoptersgaming3148 There are a variety of factors that determine what makes a good fuel. Two major reasons for the push of electric based flight are noise and in flight emissions. With batteries there are no emissions and with hydrogen the only emissions are water vapor, which makes both fuels capable of operating in locations that are not viable for current helicopters. The noise is the other major factor and both the battery and hydrogen powered electric motors are going to be massively more quiet than any type of combustion motor. This makes them way more desirable for highly populated areas.

@dhsajdak

That is in development, particularly by Joby, however the regulations for pilotless flights are likely years away before it will be allowed in most locations. So the various EVTOL companies are starting with piloted flights to get their aircraft in the air faster.
