Having the software update capability, puts the TM6 years ahead of previous models and the competition. Vorwork have got a fantastic platform, which includes cookidoo. There software updates seem to be frequent enough to indicate that they are continuing to improve it. Any mechanical improvement is likely to affect a severing of backward compatability, which would be disasterous for Vorwerk. They will be making more profit woth the increase in Cookidoo subscriptions, then they would make from a TM7 ( with an obvious increase in price tag). Perhaps they could spend time on improving the cutter as it seems to be a significant problem(my belief mainly through abuse). Thev 80/20 Pareto rule applies to items such as this. The machine does 80% of things that you do in the kitchen, for 20% of the price of a machine that would to pay for a machine that does 100% of everything. Ie. $10,000 and the development and debugging would take forever. Sofware can be and be will be upgraded forever, hardware on the other hand has physical and mechanical restraints that limit what can be econonical achieved. The TM7 will not happen for many years!

Thank you for this video, even though it's eight months old now. I discovered Thermamix yesterday and this is something I was considering in my decision to buy one.

On the 23rd of January 2019, my new TM5 arrived. Less than 2 months later, the TM6 would have been announced. Even if I had asked "Any news about the new model? I don'twant to buy and alreadu obsolete model," I was told that there was no news. I contacted Vorwerk Italy and they said "unfortunately, you bough thw TM5: just be happy. You can buy the new one, too, it's up to you. " So, actually, I don't think we can trust neither Vorwerk selleers nor Vorwerk Company, both of them simply lie. TM5 came out in 2014, and 5 years later, the new TM6 was presented: it's definitely likely that by the end of this year 2024, the new model is announced. Even if it were released in the first months of 2025, you had better wait to get the new model with updated hardware, even because they will stop updating then old and slow TM6.

I'm in the US where this hasn't been available until recently. Easily one of the most amazing things ever and a terrific purchase decision worth the high cost. (Do not buy a cheap knock-off... I did. Big mistake. The original has been tested and developed for many years in Europe and Asia.) I don't actually know how to cook, but I'm making my own bread and restaurant take-out types of flavors of deliciousness without the usual waste that comes with cooking for just one person... AND without making some huge mess that has to be cleaned up. The Cookiedoo recipe software works terrifically. I'm an absolute fan of Thermomix.

It would make sense that because the TM6 is capable of having updates added to the machine to broaden the functionality it does not seem economical for the manufacturer to introduce a TM7 until they have exhausted all the possible updates on the TM6

It was officially announced at the end of the last year that model 6 is as good as it gets & there will be no model 7 in 2024 or in any feasible future. Vorwerk said to "f--k off" to all "new gadgets jackoffs" & suggested to be happy with what they already have 😂 (for Vorwerk is not the Apple, Inc. ... baby)!
