I'm back in the mid 70's listening to KMET in LA...what a great era of rock- the greatest! So many truly talented musicians.

Wasn't this top of John Peel's Festive Fifty for several years (along with Teenage Kicks/Undertones)? Remember listening late at night under the covers with a dodgy plastic earpiece jammed into one ear and plugged into a tiny radio ;-) Epic

I clicked on this expecting to cringe and click out quickly. I watched it to the end. Solid performance.

Some of the footage in this video is from the Isle of Man - anyone know anything about this or if there was an original video without the TOTP stage stuff? It was before the explosion of de rigueur music videos that drove the success of MTV era which makes it hard to find anything on line to give a back story. I've loved this tune for over 35 years, I go to the isle of man whenever I can and there isn't anyone I know who hasn't heard it, but i had never seen this footage before today! Generally the interwebs can be a blessing but occasionally it serves you a dead end and you spend hours down the rabbit hole because it caught you with a bit of time on your hands.

This song reminds me of driving for hours and hours through the American desert, then listening to Art Bell at night. Great days for this Brit. I want go back there and to those times.

Robin Trower , 1st great talent to embrace jimi Hendrix stylings . Made Procol Harum bad ass . Later Stevie Ray Vaughn picked it up

Great song. Great vocals. Great band. And, most of all great guitar. Tasteful playing and understated. No where to hide when you playing soulful and slow like this but it's great. An iconic song.

Trower is one of the greatest blues guitarists ever. The Bridge of Sighs album is fantastic, not a bad song on it and I still play it regularly.

In 1990-91 I walked into a friend’s house and this was playing on the record player. I didn’t bother looking over at the jacket, knowing it was a new Soundgarden LP. That was a very good laugh.
