As much as I like some Sony games I have played mostly Nintendo games because I have come to hear far more horror stories about PlayStation or Xbox over the years than Nintendo. They have their glitches and errors on Nintendo consoles but it's not as bad as the Red Ring of Death, Sony hacks of the past stealing accounts or emails, day one patches that become necessary because for some reason some copies of a particular game brick the system, discs getting stuck just in general and yet Nintendo mostly avoided this somehow because they must've taken a moment to look at their engines for the system and said, "What's the max power of this console? Let's not go beyond it." And pushed ideas for games in a different direction. For all the boundaries PlayStation and Xbox push for FPS, graphics, realism, controller concepts, etc. I feel some of their programming is dangerous to their own consoles leading to poor releases from some companies like Ubisoft who try to put a poorly developed galaxy for games like Star Wars Outlaws out when everyone can see the bugs they never ironed out and are having to continuously backtrack over to fix. Nintendo never did updates like they have in the past because their mantra has always been: "What's the best way we can release a game without destroying it on launch?"

I am fed up of everyone complaining about Sw/Sh and S/V's polygon density. It literally doesn't matter. People criticise S/V for its 'low' polygon density but let games with even lower polygon density slide (e.g., SM64 or OOT). Honestly, modern gamers are heavily biased.

Im like 100% sure that nintedo has ALWAYS been winning the console wars just off the fact they have more family / friend games. They may not have the same performance or statistics but the switch 1 was a 7 yro model this new one is pretty much MADE for older generation / teens and adults. Last reason exclusive games and better music i aint even gonna elaborate

from both leaks and people analyzing the sneak peek at the next Mario kart we do have a good idea of the power of the switch 2 and it seems to be comparable to the ps4 and seeing what Nintendo did with tears of the kingdom i cant wait to see what they do with the next Zelda game

My biggest issue with switch 2 is that it's look VERY similiar to original switch, when other consoles by Nintendo brought gamers a new way of playing I have waited for some innovations and another "WOW, THAT'S what the gaming is NOW", that i felt with original Switch But it is what it is and I'm more than comfort with that. At least Nintendo is still Nintendo and make really good games.

I do have a hard time believing the S2 will sell as well as S1, but I still think it comfortably clears 100 million units. I know I'm excited for it. I do wish we'd either gotten it sooner or, if not, that it was stronger, but it's still a bigger generational leap than we've seen in a long, long time. I really hope Xenoblade X DE gets an S2 update!

People forget that nintendo made the 5 different version of the ds The ds, the dsi, the 3ds, the 2ds and the New 3ds (the last three also having an XL variation) And most of those worked well The switch 2 is like the 3ds of the switch

Honestly, this was something I kind of hoped would eventually come to Switch, but the current dock just isn't capable of running games on its own without the Switch in the dock. But yeah I think it's a stellar idea to have a way to turn the Switch basically into the bottom screen of a DS/3DS or the gamepad of the Wii U. We've already gotten GBA, SNES, even N64 on NSO. Now imagine if they could add DS, 3DS and Wii U. Oh and you mentioned you can't play gen 3 Pokémon on 3DS. It's because they got Hoenn already in the form of ORAS. at least that's my theory.

I don't CARE if it looks like its predecessor, I only care about one new thing it will bring to the table: USING JOYCONS LIKE COMPUTER MICE that has the potential to make aiming the camera in 3D games easier for those who are used to PC and aren't used to gyro controls

I’m worried about Nintendo arrogance since it feels like their games get stale after while. It would be great if they made smaller fun games at a cheaper price such as Wii sports where its focus is on fun. Many of the $60 games get stale after a while when compared to games such as Wii sports.

Nintendo will win the console wars. Xbox and PlayStation increasingly compete against pc. They will never beat pc gaming. So what are consoles for? Well they’re for kids and families. That is Nintendos market. I predict Microsoft will give up on the Xbox and just produce games sooner or later. I don’t know about Sony yet.

I do feel disapointed anyway being someone who only has their switch for first party games and plays mostly on pc otherwise. It's only natural that me and some other wanted some new hardware. Regardless, they are first impressions and all this is just talk without any real plan. I am curious how they will use the mouse and what new inovations will be in the games themselves. Even then, I might still buy it and be annoyed in the worst case scenario.

If you are a real serious gamer, you are some old fart game designer designing combat or tactical simulations to train the millitary hoping it actually helps win battles.
