This bike is enought to 90% of the riders. Most of the people only want to be diferent buying an expensive bike. I tested one and you can do the same things as other bikes. Ther´s a point when the prices and the components ara a waste of money. Enjoy the ride. 🌠

Very good bike for this price tag, but the presentation was too scripted and felt weird for youtube. I own the e-expl 520s bike and it cost me 1/3 of my Trek Slash. Its not an enduro bike but a very good touring and trail bike. Recommended if you dont care about brands

Do not buy this low quality bike!!! I bought a new Decathlon ebike. I rode 400 miles in 3 months (35 miles a week for 12 weeks), it was always perfectly cared for, lubricated with ebike lube and degreased, and only ridden on roads or paths and never stressed. Also most of the riding was done without battery power...however the gear cassette and chain wore out and needed to be replaced...at a cost of£59 (€70, $77) in three months. It was a new bike under warranty. Although the bike was under a 2 year warranty Decathlon refused to replace the worn out parts unless paid, they said these parts are not covered..for a bike 3 months old. Its my opinion that this was a case of low grade = substandard = faulty parts wearing out prematurely in 12 weeks and should have been replaced free of charge. The real cost to me of this will be £240 /€280 /$300 a year....due to the low quality/faulty parts....that is a very great deal money to maintain what should be an almost maintenance free bike on a yearly basis. A staff member said that the Decathlon ebike parts wear out quickly and were not to the longer lasting more durable Shimano quality. Do not buy any bike from Decathlon...my advice.

Two question please. In many videos I see that they always have it in mode 4, on a more or less flat trail is the difference in battery consumption much greater in mode 4 than mode 2? I understand with mode 4 uphill the battery would not last even 20 km. Always using mode 4 for a test that you don't care about autonomy is fine, but for normal use it does not seem viable. If you buy, for example, a Bosh bike with a Bosh battery, you will have compatible batteries to buy in the future. What battery does this bike have? It seems like China, will there be supply problems in the medium-term future? Thank.

Pretty sure it’s a Brose battery in the Rockrider, so you shouldn’t have a problem getting spares.

Surely this should be tagged as an ad? It literally sounds like he's reading the brochure out loud at times

It’s not paid for by anyone, hence not being tagged. But it’s a bit of an experiment, and maybe it’s a bit too scripted for the KZbin audience. 🤷♂️

We have the in-depth review video with all four bikes in it, and wanted to try and do individual videos on each bike with different information. Sounds like it needs a rethink! 👍

This video is horrific! It comes across as a paid advert, or like a promotional video from the Decathlon website. It's like you've decided to deliberately dumb down and avoid all the key information most enthusiasts would be interested in. But it doesn't make sense why you would take that approach if you weren't being paid to present the bike in a certain light. Very strange.

Honestly this hasn’t been paid for. We wanted to try something a bit more scripted about a bike we have reviewed and rated, but maybe the style doesn’t sit right for the channel.

Not a good bike...critical parts have worn out in no time on the Rockrider....I know, I own one. In the first three months the cassette was worn out and the chain needed replacing ... I had not used the bike for any rough mtbing... only road and good tracks...the bike was regularly degreased and lubricated with ebike grade lubricant...yet in only 500km of riding in the first three months (about 40 miles a week) and most of that with no electric traction....the gear cassette and chain wore out.... Not good, not good, not good. This should not have occurred...I consider that substandard or lower grade cassettes and chains may be used....and that higher grade more robust, longer life cassettes and chains should be used on this bike. I was told by a Decathlon expert that other manufacturers produce better, longer lasting parts.... but Decathlon does not choose to fit them... they should be fitted to this model.

Thanks for the insight into the durability of the chain and cassette. One of the problems for any brand trying to meet such a tight price point is that compromises will have to be made somewhere. Decathlon might have been able to spec Shimano Linkglide (for example) at this price point, but it would have had to make sacrifices elsewhere. At least theses are consumables that will need replaclng at some point anyway. The Microshift mech and shifter should be compatible with Shimano's 10-speed Linkglide chain and cassette, which would make a great replacement/upgrade.
