You use open diffs for maneuverability. Are you going to use an open center diff as well? I think you have a great channel and I always look forward to the next episode. Keep up the good work!

Yes! A worthy opponent for the Twinsteer! Just kidding, they're very different types of big rigs. Any inspiration from Sac Valley RC Fest to start this build by any chance I wonder? Having made a very heavy 1/10 scale semi truck using Ryft axles and transfer cases I can already think of some things you might run into with it, very interested to see how you navigate the challenges a build this scale and weight will bring.

I’m in the middle of a custom project rc4wd k10 snowplow/work truck cut the frame behind the cab and extended it 6inches then installed a flatbed from my cen f450 definitely gonna be a fun project

As always, very good work and I love the project. I made a truck in 1/14 more or less based on the Kenworth, Freightliner, Mack and some mythical and old model, I wanted something that was customized to my taste and as always in metal, I do not have the level that you have and I weld with electrode but we both do rc in metal although I only upload photos of the process, I would like to know your opinion of the truck I made and the tractor scale 1/10 more or less that I am finishing now since you understand well all the work that is behind a construction in welded metal, I would appreciate it very much, I am not saying that you subscribe or give me a like that I would love but what I would appreciate most is to know your opinion, a hug friend and keep it up, I love watching your videos 👍😊💪😜👋

Yes, I do subscribe to Casey LaDell and I'm quite impressed with that Zack lift and reason he that he got it and the truck he did. . This is going to be the coolest (showing age) build so far. I think you should call your lift the WAF LIFT cuz you can. Maybe have your lady friend do a Waffel aproved paint job. Brushless motor IMO would be better than brushed with the weight it will be moving. How about a lowboy trailer with rear steer. OK, so maybe over the top but, like you say "why not". Keep up the good work and RC on!!!

The C500 is a good choice. Are you going to run duals or just monster super singles like some of the logging or oil field trucks run?
@WafflesRC-pb4nt5 күн бұрын
For simplicity, I am just going to run super singles. Later, I might step it up to duals but it all depends on looks. I don't want the back to stick out super far

Love all your builds man great work! Can I make a suggestion for your next build?? You should build a mega mud truck I bet it would be awesome. Basically the same as the crawler just more lift, more speed and some big fling king tires! Not to mention it would look awesome on your hauler. I got inspiration from watching your builds and I built a 1/16 scale mega truck from a bunch of spare parts I had except the 1.9 fling king tires I bought. Water proofed everything so I can submerge it. It's definitely fun to mess around with wish I could share a pic

Look at a cross RC jt6 transfer case. They run independent driveshafts to each axle
@CasperRc815 күн бұрын
8/32 tap and die with 1/8” rode make a bevel before cutting threads with the 8/32 die. Buy bags of traxxas rod ends use flat pliers to hold before pressing the link ball in run it with a 8/32 bottom tap in your drill. And you’ll have any kind of link Length etc. the ends will be easily serviceable when needed. This is cool I don’t build much at all just enjoy driving with my boys but really enjoy watching what you and your lady are doing here. Congrats on your award winning Yota!!!

I used a 4 output divorced transfer box like a Russian truck does on my 6x6 build and an Axial 3 gear gearbox just using one output to the transfer box .one output to front diff. second output to the front rear axle and the third output and a carrier bearing to the rear axle diff like the real Ural trucks .the first output is the input from the gearbox..

On the xmaxx steering get the heavy duty spring & get a longer screw & a Lockhead nut & tighten it down so it doesn't loosen on you. Can't wait to see the finished result of the semi!

To me it looks like you need to flip the t-cases so they have two outputs pointing to the rear instead of how they are now. Have you considered using leaf springs instead of links? It would reduce travel, but it would handle weight easily and would be more scale. I can't remember who, but someone makes leaf spring mounts for Axial and similar axles. As a semi tractor you don't need the frame to be any longer than what's necessary to mount the rear axles (and fifth wheel and taillights). Great content, I'm always looking forward to your next video! #scratchbuilt
