Wow! looks amazing! definitely looks movie quality. I love it. You forgot to paint the ears but that's and easy fix. This thing is bad ass

Hi, this is such a great video!!! I have one question… is it ok/needed to finish with clear coat glossy varnish or the wax is enough ?

Love y’all’s videos so much! Would you both be willing to do a tutorial on how to 3d print an nfl helmet please! I’ve been trying to find a video but none are as helpful or as thorough as yours!

Pro-tip: try using vinyl electrical tape for masking off areas to paint. It seals the edges much better and leaves nice sharp lines compared to the painters masking tapes. You can buy sleeves of the stuff at Harbor Freight for cheap.

How long did you let the primer dry for? I find that the silicon won’t cure against the primer.

How do you make them a bit bigger?
@adrielsilveiradeborba428114 күн бұрын
probably the same way you would make a pixel art bigger, like you you can make each 1 pixel actually be 4, 8, etc. So instead of 1 cross for each pixel, you could try to do 4 crosses for each pixel

Is there tutorial or a video that will show/help me wire all the components together? I ordered them all but have no experience in wiring.
@definitelynotchadfish4 ай бұрын
I notice that your handles are rounded at the end, whereas the original files are more hexagonal like in the first one because of less bits and more polygons. Did you edit the files to make this happen? Because I can't find a file with rounded edges anywhere.
@definitelynotchadfish4 ай бұрын
I know this is an older video, but I am starting this project right now for a Halloween Costume. If you are going to use glue instead of the screws and inserts, then I believe you can just print the handle-guard-b file twice instead of the printing the A & B, that way you don 't have to fill in all of the wholes for the screws and inserts with bondo or something similar. I figure there is no harm in trying since I have to print two key blades anyway. I will provide an update when I finish printing the handles.

To avoid any scratches in the paint eventually, there's always the option of *dying* the plastic.

Hey, I know this video is old but you should wear gloves and a respirator when spaying the superglue activator. My dad worked in the movie industry as a model maker in the 80s and 90s and he used that stuff all the time spraying it on his hands and breathing it in. He died of bladder cancer in 2015 at the age of 47. Do not fuck around with that stuff soaking into your skin or any of the particles and fumes you might inhale. Wear a respirator when painting and sanding on top of being in a well ventilated area.

Does waiting the few weeks to let the paint dry make the controllers not feel slightly sticky? I've spray painted other things and had this happen. Also did you sand after primer and after a few coats to smooth it down?
