Did you create the eyebrows from scratch or find a file somewhere to resize? I am about to start painting my sons copy and want to do the best job I can. Not real good at free handing the painting...as my hands shake. Having a template to work from would help. Is it something you can share?
@make432 Жыл бұрын
we did just free-hand the eyebrows - with the "handmade" rough hewn look of the print we thought we could get away with something a bit more rough.

How did you guys get the split model? It’s not on thingyverse
@a.d61332 жыл бұрын
Late comment I know, but did you use supports? if so where and in what way?
@make4322 жыл бұрын
We did, after splitting the model in half we only needed to add supports to the top horns. Best of luck!

You guys are right, this is easier than it looks. I'm definitely going to try to make my own soon. What's the 3d file you guys used? (the one in description is the wrong one.)

Nice man!! I’m working on mine. Where did you get the template for the eyebrows?
@make4323 жыл бұрын
Thanks, so glad you are building your own! We ended up just sketching them out and tracing them in illustrator to fit our paint job - unfortunately we don't have the files saved anywhere.
@juliovega49653 жыл бұрын
@@make432 thanks. Got it. I went ahead and looked up a jack - o lantern stencil and used that to get the shapes. Appreciate the response. I’m checking out your videos. All your work is awesome!! Keep them coming

what orientation did you guys print the halves in? when I printed one horizontally it came out a little small
@make4322 жыл бұрын
We split ours in half down the middle vertically, placing the split side down on the printer. Similar to how it's sitting at 00:13 kzbin.info/www/bejne/f6CYnoVsorCMjsk Don't forget the skull kid's kinda small though! ;)
@peterenglund98683 ай бұрын

So cool! But... Can someone do this with real wood??
@make4323 жыл бұрын
Absoultely! You would need to use a CNC to rout it out of wood. It would be doable if you had the right (expensive) equipment. OR, if you are a really talented person, you could carve this out of block of wood like Bobby Duke over at Bobby Duke Arts did - kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJq9nn-Lfc50ias

@make4323 жыл бұрын
using these files www.thingiverse.com/thing:686111 we spilt the mask in half (as seen in the video) and printed at 400% - however there is a new remix on this design that is made to be worn and looks to be an easier, pre-scaled print www.thingiverse.com/thing:2901131

In the file, the mask is spilt up into several pieces. Not like the two pieces in the video.
@make4323 жыл бұрын
Looks like the creator has updated the files - here is a link to the original single piece design we worked off of. www.thingiverse.com/thing:686111 We used the full mask and sliced it half using the built in tools included in PrusaSlicer - here is a great video on how to use that tool kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYqYgYqkmr6Dn7M
