There are so many mysteries and uncertainties left here that collectively they all deserve at least one more separate game.

Everyone wanted a VII remake and Square couldn't even do that right. Now we have multi-verse crap literally no one asked for.

I don't know how far I got. But I put this game down after probably 15 or so hours. Ot just wasn't fun and the story didn't particularly grab me like other Final Fantasy's.

Side Content NEVER existed. It was just a fever dream. I wished that all copies of that abomination were destroyed. Preferebly in 供養, so that even spirit of it couldn't return. I never was so disturbed by the content of thing I was supposed to love. And I freaking love Grimdark Fantasy. Couldn't they leave us with at least one Happy Ending in the whole franchise?? I actually loved the perfect ending, as for me it was actually thematically connected to FFX. Dreams that become true and real people who become just a dream. Spiritual world that is connected to the human realm. It also have parallels with some mythological concepts that I like and am writing a reasearch paper on, so I'm quite biased.

I enjoyed playing FF13 and have never got into another FF enough to finish:)

What I hate the most at least in the orginal release, all I played, was the kack of any real connect for Luna and Noctis compiled by Iris being literally there for years

I beat the entire game when it released then never picked it up again, even though it's apparently a lot better now I just don't care almost like all these RPGs getting DLC sequels a year or more after release like FF16 and Tales of Arise

I followed a guide for every second and still ended at 99%, ruined my experience

The only benefit of the book is Tidus can get with Rikku a girl I liked more than Yuna in both games

Honestly learning about the novel ruined tphe ending for me Get me a remake of 6 or 9 before a sequel to 10, or a new game 16 was awesome

I played the remastered games going straight from X to X-2 was so jarring I basically restarted it after the opening because I was stuck in a WTF mode

Honestly I only finish about 10 games a year but those are mostly RPGs that take a lot of time but a smaller one like 13 I remeber beating in about 50ish hours, so it isn't much more than a couple action games That's far below Skyrim or Persona

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is a spiritual sequel to Final Fantasy 13 🤯 I can totally see it now though, I thought they learned from 15's bad gameplay but now that I see it it's 13 polished modern mechanics

From what I remember Sarah and Lightning were implied to be orphans and Lighting was the protector and provider not so much a sister, her personality pretty understandable

I loved how everybody leveled up at once the same amount in many RPGs I spend half the fights in larties I hate to level up somebody underleveled

Honestly I loved the Cystarium as an upgrade tree if they just had more paths and ability to look ahead, not overly complicated abut cool

To me FF13 feels like the end of an era, just the feel starts to change into the 2010's or maybe I was getting older. The shear pleasure I got as a kid has subsided some like Final Fantasy 7 Remake was a spark of life into my favorite hobby for me but recently its only been Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and Stellar Blade (which feels like Ps3/360 era)

I think I played about 45 minutes of this game. 12 was my first entry into the franchise and I'd loved the open world exploration and the (optional) interactivity of combat. 13 with it's linear world (so far as I experienced) and optimal autobattle felt like playing a overlong quick react cutscene.

Never have I ever been so worried about a fictional character's mental health in my life. I'm glad I got to experience it even though it was very emotionally turbulent.

Thanks for this! :) I seriously struggle to understand, still!, what people have against the XIII games. If you look back on the previous games in FF, everyone of the games have been different and has the FF develop over the years. FFXIII trilogy carries on the that tradition. Sure everything in these games aren't perfect but no other game is perfect either. So, I like these games no matter what others feel about them!

I played this to platinum when locked down with the big C, and it became one of my all time favourite gaming experiences. That "Holy Fuuuu.....!!!!!!!" Moment when the story clicks with you and it doesn't let go until long after completing the game and deleting it to make space for the next game is truly a rare experience in any media. It's the kinda of game when you meet someone else who completed it you'll just mention the game and won't even need words as you both know the journey and where it brought you to.

My favourite tidbit about this game is that when it initially released, the entire dev team were given a few days to beat it so that their save data could be uses as reinforcements for the true credits. If that's not wholesome, I don't know what is. 😊

KeyMon?... Monkey!! I found Rikku's line to make sense, only playing in English. We hear a voice from the shadows asking us for the password. My mind wasn't thinking about monkey and issaru, the voice asking for the password is literally Issaru's. I thought she was just confirming the voice Yuna and Rikku could recognize to the player. I've heard the password take several times, but yet to see a video speak about the sound of the voice sounding like Issaru's voice as opposed to issaru sounding like saru. 🦊

it's funny how everyone hated on this game because it was linear, well duh, it's final fantasy, THEY'RE ALL LINEAR, which says a lot of what kind of rpgs gamers were thirsting for at the time, which was open world rpgs, only reason it got the hate it got, people wanted the 3 tomb raiders, god of war, far cry primal type rpgs
