Great story, nice people...what more do we want? Found this video while I was looking for a video on mascot radiator caps from the 1930s. Would love to find a nice mascot for my 1950 Riley RMA left hand drive. Look forward to my own 35 mph rides when my car is finished! Stay happy and healthy! Blessings from good ol' Germany...

Considering you paid a kings ransom for vehicle, can you not get the work done under warranty ?
@randallwingett2 күн бұрын
Good question! The Winnebago Travato 59kl warranties cover different parts of the vehicle for different lengths of time. Most of the repairs that I have done myself haven’t cost a lot. But, the Volta power system is something I cannot repair and is very expensive. I just learned today from Poulsbo RV that they diagnosed the issue of both the battery getting too cold for charging and GFCI tripping. One of the battery pack warmers has a ground fault. Turns out the warmers are 120 vac and are connected to a hidden outlet. The bill for labor only so far is $800. Poulsbo RV is consulting with Volta on how to repair the system and if Volta will cover the cost under warranty. I hope they will! Thanks for your comment.

Great video man I wanna put one on my door going outside but I'm just really afraid to make a hole in my door because I don't want to mess up or put it crooked or make it look ugly or potentially buy the wrong cat door where the lock might not work great or it might not be the right size or durabke enough or whatever so I'm procrastinating on it but I really need it because I'm tired of constantly opening the door a million times to let my cats in and out a million times every day!

I'm so sorry for the loss of your fur baby Shadow. I had a Shadow myself years ago... a little Yorkie, but he's gone about 7 years ago now. It's a hard thing to do, even when you know they are suffering😢 I think it's wonderful that you guys had this done at home, where Shadow was comfortable and went so peacefully, knowing he was so loved. I cried and cried and cried the whole time. Bless your hearts..hugs for you both. Fly high with the Eagles Shadow..❤😢 Bless the lady that was with you too, for being so kind and compassionate with you...❤

Hope your hounds are still kicking. I have a mixed Norwegian Elkhound and she does the same thing in the snow. She found a shrew/vole/mouse in the snow. She did the same thing by putting her snout into the snow and sniffing out the small mammal. We let the poor thing go and I gave her a big treat for her loss.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this problem?
@randallwingett8 күн бұрын
Thanks for asking! Not yet, unfortunately. I called Volta and they said take our Travato to an authorized Winnebago RV service center and have the technician call them for assistance with the diagnostics. Coincidentally, today is my appointment at Poulsbo RV in Kent where I had the awning recall work done. The service manager said to drop our Travato off and leave it there, because this will take some time for them to diagnose and repair. Meanwhile, my workaround works for keeping the battery charged (turn off the Volta power system, disconnect shore power, confirm all power is off, reconnect shore power and leave the Volta system powered off). In addition to this battery charging issue, I want Poulsbo RV to give me an estimate for diagnosing and repairing the 120Vac GFCI tripping problem, for which I also have a workaround (documented in a separate video). I suspect this will be a costly fix and may opt to leave it be for now. So, today I am driving the Travato and Diane is driving our Outback the 115-miles-distance to Poulsbo RV and staying a night in a hotel. To make our journey worth the time and expense, we are visiting Diane's mother who is in an adult home in Kent. Stay tuned for the outcome!

I have the same issue with our npf travato…there is a wait list for diagnostic…I’m #17 on the wait list…it’s a short on the on off switch on the main house battery…battery is under warranty (8 yrs from sale date) I’m grounded until it’s fixed because we boon-dock and don’t usually plug into shore power … it’s a big bummer! Had to can our trip to the florida keys

I had a 14 year old German shepherd die not too long ago. A few weeks before death she would stand outside with little movement. Only moving her head to look around and enjoy the moment. Seeing this dog do the same thing brings unwanted memories, and it only means one thing.
