Not trying to unnecessarily state that I knew homie would be a hit machine from his day 1 frees on mainstream radio, but I did state with confidence that would be the case. And that’s not professional that dude is a goat rapper or lyricist, he’s a dope artist. He knows his flow, his audience and exactly how he needs to make his mark in the music game. Which is cutthroat as ever, artists coming and going, no true tangible allegiance that was apparent in the days of physical CDs or records. Now, it’s based on a number of factors. Some of which driven by the label with the streaming platforms. And a team that recognizes the power and influence of social media, and leverages instant bangers on content that spreads like wildfire. Sure it’s smooth like almost a G-Eazy flow, but I’m not a fan of putting him in the white rapper box, and thus only comparing his success or engagement with other white rappers. First of all, if you’re a good artist, you can be purple ffs. Secondly, it’s not a first your last BS proposition, contrary to what circulates online. Ton of artists can eat. And when they eat; they can collab and make hits. The female game is proof that the contrary is never conducive to the success of artists. You don’t need to choose one of Cardi, Nicki or Ice, for example, and thus completely shade or disregard the other two. That’s petty new generation garbage that also contributes to the degradation of the music game. Often times, artists capitalize on collabs to keep them relevant. Proving they are better than the sum of their parts. And when that gets too tricky, they team up to shoot for the King. And then Aubrey proceeds to eat them for lunch. #DrusViewz

When this came out I was homeless, on drugs, and then jail. I now have a house, job, and husband. This song and “Clover Cage - In The Moment” are the two songs that helped get rid of my depression. I just want to send love to everyone and I want everyone to know things will get better. We are in this together..I love you 💕
