A few things I didn't mention in this video: Shel's chapter was a bit more fleshed out, it had a small cooking segment with Becca where you would both make soup together by chopping up onions and carrots but it was cut. You also would have been the one to padlock the vending machine which you later break in Tavia's chapter. Bonnie was still a bitch.

I feel like the 400 days survivors would have been a little too strong since all of them basically know how to take care of themselves so you won't have any useless characters to protect or have them contribute nothing to the group at all cough cough *Sarah* cough cough *Rebbeca* god sorry must have covid or something but anyways the only real way they could have been killed is either by Carver or Freeridge in the New Frontier story since people in TWD universe are the only real issue once you learn how to fight Walkers well.

But I think it would've been good if just some people go with Tavia and other stay at the camp and leave Tavia. Then they wander a bit and find Carver's group. Sorry if I made any mistake. Ji Guppy3 Darker. MUCH darker. Kenny would’ve been the antagonist instead of Carver. Troy would have been the one to rape Clem which could end up in her killing him in cold blood to disguise amongst the walkers as Jane wasn’t in the game until later in development. Plus...the final two beside Clem & Baby AJ would have been between Luke and Kenny going at it. Also- Clem leaving behind Baby AJ in the cold as an Option. 😳

To be fair, cut content always seem better, mostly because we don't really know much. We don't know how it'd look or feel. Concepts may seem cool (and usually do), but often they were cut for a reason. TTGames made bad decision and possibly they wanted to show "your choices actually matter". I just don't go "this cut content is waaa...aaay better than released", especially since I found people talking same on almost every cut or cancelled content (which isn't always that great). Anyway, great vid. Nice to see your work after a while.

I'd say in the case of everything post S1 for Telltale however, maybe with the only exception being Tales, everything had cuts. And everything was fucked. If you go through each and every one of their games after S1 you can feel how the cuts weren't just replaced with typically pretty bad replacements, sometimes horrible ones, but also often resulted in the entire storyline and plot getting so messy and lacking so much direction that the entire game would become a shapeless mess with no focus, direction, intention, or really any significant piece of story to tell and express. The only game I can say for sure had cuts for good reasons was Season One which really is a game that's so beautifully crafted through and through and had cuts for obvious and good reasons since they actually had a real intended story to tell. Anyone can see how the cut stuff doesn't click in with the story they wanted to tell (and actually ended up telling lmao) and how most of the cut stuff wasn't cut due to lack of time or other artificial bullshit, but rather was instead just them genuinely crafting this story through and through and wanting every piece to click in perfectly to tell this complete story.

So idk if anyone remembers this or if it’s just me but originally when the dlc first came out you could get Bonnie to stay behind if you chose the right options with Leland, in which he’ll tell her to leave him behind with Dee & Bonnie will be on her own. When Tavia meets up with them at the end Bonnie will say “idk I just don’t feel like I can trust new people right now” to which becca responds “just because you can’t trust anyone because Leland left you doesn’t mean everyone will be like that” I think the developers might have changed it later down the line when they had season 2 more fleshed out, but I’m just so interested in seeing if anyone else remembers getting her to stay behind like me or if I’m just having false memories or something 🤣

InColdBlood Something I noticed in Vince's chapter is that when he looks out the window reacting to the scream with a woman getting devoured by a walker and what seems to be Shel getting Becca to her feet and the two run away, the character devoured had a striking resemblance to the 'Annie' model you showed us in this video. I think that WAS the same model, and they didn't fully scrap it. They just used it for that one scene.

It is pretty dissapointing about them. If you get them all to join tavia, all you get is one line from them and you then end up sending a horde of walkers on them. So most likely they all die, and the more of them you bring back with tavia, the more you end up assumingly get killed. They could all very well be alive but since the series is over.. who knows? The only one who know who can die is bonnie if you go that route

I did take a good look at S2 and a bit of S3. There were quite a few cut animations from S3 but not that many. One thing that's obvious from those files is that the Prescott crew were supposed to save Clem/Javier from the slaughterhouse because there's a lot of animations referring to them using guns, 'climbing' stuff (where else in the game would they do that?) but there's not enough to make a video out of. Kett actually found the voice lines from the Clem flashback with the raccoon from the Season 2 Episode 5 trailer in Season 1's files. There's like one or two things from S2 that I'll cover in my next video. I was really hoping the definitive edition would be full of all sorts of cut/unused stuff we never knew about but it sadly has even less than the collection editions.

Correct me if I'm wrong but in S2 at the end of Chapter 3 when the walkers raid Howe's Tavis has an unused animation falling off of the roof and dying It was from your S2 video actually ...do you think that unused animation and the animation of Tavia falling off of the truck shop roof are linked if not the same?

Yeah I'm pretty certain now that they wanted to re-use that animation for S2. It was only ever in Season 2's files so I didn't think it had any relation to 400 Days until the Collection edition came out. Also explains why it's broken and doesn't work when you try to play it.

It seems interesting by the description, but (maybe because we can't see the final result) it doesn't match with other 400 days stories. They involve hard and/or disturbing choices and scenarios. In Tavia's story, it seems more like Clem's season 2 story. All in all, I love the final result of 400days. It perfectly makes different stories come together with Tavia's appearance in the end.

Could see maybe a combination of the 2 endings. The combat at diner and finding the camp from the original with convincing the survivors to join Carvers camp. It was possible to make the 400 days survivors relevant. Such as having Vince existing in S2 determine how easily or hard to escape the storage room. Maybe some reveal we get with Vince about Tavia or Carver. With the other survivors to tell Clem why they’ve joined, getting different perspectives on the 400 days characters when we last saw them

Yeah the Collection was just a terrible moneygrab that still has gamebreaking bugs to this day that will never be patched. Definitive is definitely much better overall but it still suffers from pretty bizarre bugs that weren't there in the original games or in the collection. I'd like to think they'd fix those but considering how long it's been, I kind of doubt it. I checked the Definitive Edition and sadly it's pretty much exactly the same as the release games in terms of unused stuff.

Seeing this video ended up reminding me of this Nickelodeon horror fanfic I wrote back in the early 2010`s. It was heavily based on The Walking Dead 400 Days, and it involved various characters from Nickelodeon shows arriving at this community center (based on a real-life location less than a mile from my house) during a zombie apocalypse separately at various times during the first 500 days of the outbreak. Each playable character's segment would also be slightly different in terms of story or gameplay style, giving the experience some more variety. Some ideas I recall: The first playable segment was centered on "Fanboy & Chum Chum", and the playable character was Kyle (as I found him one of the few tolerable characters from the source material). His section of the story starts during the first few days of the apocalypse where he and his class end up hiding out at the center on the way home from a long field trip. You would make certain story decision that could affect the number of classmates Kyle is with by the time he decides to leave the center when it gets nearly overrun seven days later, basically being the most in common with a standard Telltale episode. -One major choice has Kyle choose to either help build a barricade at the front of the building on Day 2 or help look for resources outside close by. The barricade, if built, would be present in most other chapters while the resources found and then left behind could be used by another group in another chapter (primarily a first aid kit that someone would use for an injured companion). It`s also worth noting that no fully built barricade results in at least one classmates death on Day 7 when the horde shows up and attacks, while not enough supplies found could lead to someone in the class either getting killed or leaving (as either there was a vital item needed to save a life unavailable or the low resources made someone decide to search somewhere else alone, only to never return). No matter what, Kyle will witness some casualties and at worse leave with only three other classmates. -Another (and first major one) has Kyle forced to either save Fanboy or Chum Chum when they get left behind on the bus with the Center a mile away, as the rest of the class fled in panic prior to the undead attacking. Like Carly/Doug, one or the other dies (Fanboy will get devoured at the front of the bus when two zombies climb in through the broken front window or Chum Chum will get dragged out from the back when the emergency exit door breaks and completely falls over with him on it, getting quickly devoured by the nearby small horde). Whoever was killed returns as a zombie in up to two different chapters, with two opportunities to be put down for good. Another segment involved Fred from "Fred: The Show", with my interpretation trying to salvage the character. About 220 days in, Fred and his group get separated by zombies and armed thugs during a heavily rainy night, forcing the title character to partake in a stealth segment that has him try to find everyone he was with. While he still talks in his annoying voice, there are long periods where Fred would embrace the silent protagonist role as he stealthily moves through various areas such as an abandoned neighborhood, a thrift shop and a highway with many wrecked cars, ultimately trying to guide anyone he finds to the community center which serves as the safe zone for the story arc. How good Fred was at being quiet alongside other factors could leave him moving on alone, with his whole group or with only some members (some choices involve him taking a route that is slower to a location but less hazardous while another is faster but riskier. Others could factor if someone Fred was with made it to the shelter alive and unbitten or not). The last planned arc on day 450-490 involves the cast of "True Jackson VP", and from what I can recall it felt like a "West Wing" meets "The Walking Dead" story, as True and her group would do a lot of walking and talking scenes and True would try to handle friction packed moments/choices (like who deserves to use a better weapon to go out scouting, what an SOS message on the roof should look like, if a nearby house that has odd lights flickering at night should be investigated or ignored, ect.) and also partake in zombie slaying. Other shows that are in the narrative are "Rockos Modern Life" (which plays out like a retro PS1 horror game) and "How to Rock". The climax would have a military solider (who resembled Nick Cannon) meet up with all the playable characters on day 500 at a makeshift campsite on a hill overlooking the center and the choices made affects who decides to go with the army evacuation offered and who decides to stay behind and risk being killed by an atomic bomb (with survivor's guilt serving as a major factor as to why anyone decides to stay behind).

@@MaciintoshYT It's... complicated. He was definitely sexually harassing Jane to a certain degree, the only remant of that is Jane implying that she and Troy had sex before Troy's iconic dick-scene. I do think he might've preyed on Clem and Sarah too tho, when he asks Sarah if "everything come out alright, girls?" it's the only time he talks in a soft tone, and Sarah has unused reply going "Yeah?" with a dev note saying "Doesn't get it". It's... odd.

And do you know if any of the animations for the whole fish traps scene that there’s images of are available? @@m_axj With Luke, I believe to have heard that he did originally survive into the Kenny fight, but it was changed as it didn't make much sense. Clem and Winston, that's unknown, the slides seem to be based off earlier concepts of the game that very well may never have went past being concepts. The collection shows alternative variants of the EP1 Slide in the concept art section. The fish trap stuff, not a lot is left, and what you saw are mock-ups done by the devs/interviewers. From 11:39 campsite concept art, it looked like Nate's truck is there, it may be a FAR stretch but maybe if Russell had stayed with Nate, he'd join the group in early concept. Or Nate had died or abandoned his truck

Personally I think the Annie model looks quiiite a bit like Anna Corea, the pregnant woman in the video tapes from Crawford. Maybe the story would've went a bit different and we could've seen her origins before, or even after, Crawford.

The walking dead collection was trash, i hated the save files in it. In order to import season one save data to season two you had to select an empty save file. Otherwise, season two would randomly generate choices for you.

That's the strangest thing ever. I know that people had problems importing their save from Collection > Final Season, but asking you to import an empty save file? That's just really pathetic. It's so obvious they didn't playtest the game given how many bugs it has.
