the olympics have become a joke. We want to see elite athletes sweat not people in pastimes. That's for the winter olympics. What's next, the card game bridge or poker? kick these pastimes out. Sailing of any kind, surfing, skateboarding.Just to name a few that should never have been admitted. And also it's not fair on poor countries where there is noway they can afford the expensive equipment.

So, because my wing as a boom and not handles, I will never be able to tack ? Just kidding. I think that part of the secret of the 'look at the rear handle' hint might be that it forces you to keep your head turned towards towards the exit. This helps complete the carve rather than stalling straight up wind or a bit beyond. Even though the physics might be a bit different, as we all know from our first kitesurf back roll, 'where the head turns, the body (board) will follow'. BTW, looking up and out of the turn, ie: rather than down at the water in front of you, is also a big help when learning to gybe. Great tutorial BTW. 👍

Hi daniela, I would like to know if it is possible to use a racing foil with a freeride board, not for competition, just for fun

Do you ever get nervous about getting hit by the foil when tacking? I.e. did you fall off your board a lot when learning to tack?

@Daniela Moroz Great vid! I find it interesting how you say to keep your weight/upper body towards the back of the board. Doesn't that cause the foil to rise up? I naturally thought that you need to keep your weight forward. I have Levitaz aspect 2 wing and find that it wants to rise up as I get going faster. Leaning far forward on the board seems to help with this. Maybe race foils are just different in that regard?

Try a wing with a boom, or at least fixed handles. You'll never need to look for a hand-hold again. Soft handles were stoneage as soon as they came out.

Ahoj Danielko, díky za radu! I was learning this at the end of season last year and did nail couple of them. I do remember I kept falling back, so my chest was not leaning forward like you said. I also kept not having enough speed going in to the carve and many times ended up not foiling through the tack. Can't wait to practice more. Thanks!
