How often do you water your lawn in the Fall? I am in Zone 5b and temp. is in the 85 or so during the day, and 40s-50s during the night. Just wondering whether I should water everyday?

I used both products on my lawn using an ortho hose end sprayer and it kept clogging at the fan tip causing me to stop constantly to unclog. I notice a lot particles in the product. I love applying humic and sea kelp to my lawn but this became frustrating. I really wanted to give these products a chance but think I’ll stick with RGS for feeding my lawn with humic and sea kelp.

BTW, will that Spectricide Brand kill my bushes if accidently sprayed near the roots?

Great video as always. I actually went ahead and got some of this seed and fertilizer to try on some barer spots in my lawn. I mixed in some potting soil as a top dress. The grass came up to probably 2-2.5 inches in 8 days… I even mowed it once. It was insane. I did notice some of the grass in my lawn (because I fertilized the whole thing) with bleached tips and I read that this is caused by the Tenacity active ingredient in the Scott’s triple action fert. Apparently it will just grow and be cut off once I mow again. Did you experience anything similar to this in terms of the growth speed and light bleaching?

Hello, Thank you for introducing me to Sta Green. Working for my lawn and definitely sticking with it I applied Sta green 20-0-0 on Sept 6th. I have both of the liquid lawn conditioning - clearance at Lowe’s too. I applied the 3 in 1 lawn conditioner in my ortho dial in sprayer today and it repeatedly clogged the sprayer. I had to keep stopping to unclog it- very frustrating and made it hard to spread evenly. I did shake it up quite well. I guess time will tell but was happy with the granular. Perhaps I’ll use a strainer next time to eliminate the particles.

Great video. What’s crazy is that folks by me refuse to water their lawns and just count on rain. Only problem is we haven’t had a solid rain in weeks and now everyone’s lawn but mine is dormant and that’s because I water my lawn. A dense, green lawn is an investment. It requires a bit of effort to maintain and a few dollars to be spent. People seem to forget that grass is alive and needs to be taken care of in order to thrive. Do you want to do the least amount and have a lawn with bare spots and weeds crowding out the turf or do you want to do a bit more and have dense grass full of chlorophyll? Choice is yours as the homeowner. Love the content!!

I use humic with fulvic Sea kelp Liquid iron Slow release fertilizer Works like a charm

If spraying these chemicals using your main water line... use a backflow preventer on water spigot.

Hello, I have one question. Ive been using the Sta products and very pleased thanks to your videos and how well you explain things. I killed my front yard off and seeded, it will be 4 weeks this Monday. I have not cut yet because all the rain we have been getting. Should I start feeding with N once I can get a few cuts in? Sta Green has the 20-0-0 . Whats your thoughts on putting that down? Thanks for all your hard work!

Over the years, I've always had great success controlling grubs with Bio Advanced Complete Insect killer. But last season, much to my chagrin, like yourself, I caught a great sale on Spectracide Triazicide, and decided to try and save myself a little cash and rolled with it. Bad move!!! Spectracide turned out to be totally ineffective controlling grubs, and the grubs came back in full force. So, this season, I switched back to Bio Advanced.

I used that grass seed it is a dark green grass. Real dark green grass. I'll be redoing my back yard that has a lot of shade with this grass seed.

The sun Joe is economical and really brings out a lot. Saves me a lot of work. I never use the catcher with it. But do go over lawn with that catcher because it would fill up too fast on the sun Joe and would have to stop too often. Just like you have shown. This came up Sept 20, 2024 trying to do a full renovation but just did this three weeks ago for overseeding. Your lawn looks so lovely green. Sorry about the tree😢

wow Lawn Doctor we need your help I just bought our first home, and we are neighbors in Long Island New York we don't know what kind of grass we have and what the front lawn looks like bad grass some brown some green, and the weeds sometimes my hubby goes on his keen to get them out help us we want it to look like yours give us the beginners thing to get at Walmart that is where our budget at thank you.

In my most recent project I had a big bare spot ( about 1k sq ft under a large oak tree that I tilled, laid seed, the same starter fert you did and peat moss as a top dressing got germination by 7 days. In a different area I used the Scott’s Lawn Soil I do like it for spot applications it was easier to work with than peat moss

I raked up the straw in my front yard to look under it today. Just clay still . My home was finished and I moved in late May. Yard was seeded 9 wweks ago. Yard grew but not the front really. We are finally getting 4 days of rain in Northern Indiana so I'm going lightly grate the front area and put seed down than put some straw down tommorow. I watered all summer early am. Yard looks good but the front is like nothing. The day they put the seed down was like a tsnami rain so maybe it washed it away lol.
