So sad. Both critics, Johnny, and Ed all gone. 🥺🥺😭😭 (Is it me or does Johnny genuinely seemed miffed during this episode?) And do I ever miss Johnny and this show; I grew up with it all throughout the '70s & '80s. I actually cried when he retired and had his last show in 1992.

There was a certain appeal and atmosphere to this old talk show that you don’t see anywhere anymore. I work with customers in retail and the Baby Boomers I work with have talked about how they would stay up at night and watch Johnny Carson when they were going to college. It is something that my generation (Millennial) has a hard time grasping, because we were raised with Nickelodeon and cable. While I don’t share any nostalgia with this show nor the era it was around, it is very sad to see how good these old people were. What we have today is an embarrassment, which is why I primarily look to Japan for my entertainment.

If Ebert dislikes a film, odds are high it's an interesting, future classic with staying power. How can you watch the "plethora" scene, or even just the line "It's a Sweater!" without...... sigh. ...This guy, ...is not my kind of guy.
